Summary
It was the worst storm the area had seen in years. Rain fell in unending torrents, hitting with such force as to drive anything living to shelter lest they be washed away. It was as if all the water in the world had been pulled together by some higher force and poured down upon the land in rage to wash all that lay upon it away. No one was foolish enough to stay outside, all racing to get back to the safety of their homes. No one at all.
Except for Hero.
His attention was fixed on the building across the road, as it had been since he had arrived. All the windows were shuttered or dark. But in one, a silhouette could be seen looking out. It stood there, staring outwards towards the inky distance. Even if they looked down, they wouldn’t have seen anything: the cascading water and swirling darkness made sure of that. Hero was thankful for that, and watched as they moved away from the window.
They were definitely there.summary: Hero has a knife and a score to settle.

Hero devours the bland eggs he made as if tasting food for the first time, after which an endless stream of apologies falls from his trembling lips. He’s never seen his big brother so weak… so delirious-

What? Take what…? That voice felt like a spark, alighting something he’s long forgotten.
Th-s is y-ur ch-nce-!
Our… chance…? He blinks. His eye refocuses on the man holding him to his feverish body. He asks if he’s been a good older brother, he begs not to be left behind… He weeps.
“Sunny… you’re… you’re happy, right? H-Here with me…?” His captor finally asks with a trembling, pitiful tone.
Sunny holds his tired gaze, uncertain. He then peels away the arms constraining his body to give Hero a good view of his hardened face and simply shakes his head no.
(A "What if" that takes place after the YBM bad end, but before the events of I'll Find Him. An AU of Pursuit AU sorta...)

Summary
The world shifted on its axis in a way Hero barely remembered feeling before. If he had adored Kel, then this feeling was even more powerful than that. He felt as if in his very soul he had been latched lock and key to Sunny’s very being. He knew in that moment that Sunny – small, precious, sweet, weak, needing protection, needing Hero - was His.
He would never let this boy go.
