Brett remembered the day he began to ice skate. At first, his parents just brought him there to experience it, but he begged for weeks and weeks to go back to the rink, and thus, they decided to enroll the then four year old into lessons. It's his 24th year as a figure skater and had been competing for just under 20 years.
Eddy Chen often thought about what he could have been as a figure skater, if only he didn't quit a year in at the age of 6 when he saw a group of older kids playing hockey. For around 3 months he begged his parents to let him drop it and become a hockey player. His skill caught the eye of most coaches in the rink and once he turned 13, was scouted for a team. -

With that, Eddy walked past them, slapping Brett's ass as he went by. "See you there, cute thing."
Brett whipped his head around when the hand made contact, and he stared incredulously at the dragon rider.
"Did he just…?"
Ray tried to hold it in, he really did - but his laughter burst out from him, and he had to lean against Brett when Eddy went out of sight.
"Oh my God! He really did that!"
Brett was still unsure if he had dreamed that or not. He had never been slapped! Especially not on the butt. Especially not by an omega.

“Not tired,” Eddy whined against Brett’s chest. He didn’t want to rest. He squirmed against the alpha for a bit before giving up, because the alpha’s arms weren’t budging. The omega huffed in defeat. Being curled up on the shorter man wasn’t all too bad. Brett was warm, firm, yet soft, and all around pretty lovely.

Brett is an omega but he's raised like an alpha—which is probably why he has become so stubborn and independent to the point of refusing to admit he's an omega. Problem is: he got sick and he needs alpha pheromones to stabilize himself.
Eddy is an alpha who owes Brett his life and is dedicated to returning the favour to his best friend; however, his attempts at helping his friend always, always, always gets misinterpreted by other people.
Why does everything between an alpha and omega have to be considered romantic? Why can't people see Brett and Eddy are just really good friends?
