Summary
Twin sisters Ophelia and Cove spent their childhood summers in the valley, learning from their Welsh farmer grandfather and befriending the local children. In the years since becoming an adult, Cove has continued visiting while Ophelia worked herself to the ground in the city. With their names on the Wynn family farm's deed, the two move back to restore the oasis of their early years.
Local doctor Harvey Nichols is dependable and reserved but knows what's been whispered about him since his divorce. Despite years of singledom since then, the idea of his past coming back to bite him has kept him from dating and as a result, he's one of the only single men left.
Shane Milner's life hasn't panned out in any way he hoped. After the death of his childhood friend, he was thrust into raising her orphaned daughter in the town he hoped to escape. The loneliness of single fatherhood and grief has created a dependence on alcohol, making his days as the life of the party vanish before everyone's eyes.
Four lives intertwine, pasts are unveiled, and futures are left up in the air before the eyes of Pelican Town.
