Summary
George just breathes and he kind of wants this with him forever, wants this closeness at home too, sides stuck together during movie nights. He wants to wake up after accidentally falling asleep and see Dream’s face in front of him, resting on grey sheets they temporarily share.
He’s struck with it so suddenly and he thinks about the plan, years all in one house and then places close together. To start their separate lives. And the words grow on his tongue to maybe instead stay as they are forever. With dishes on high shelves he struggles to reach and gripping onto each other during nervous car rides.
Or, spending Christmas with Dream's family forces them both to struggle with the dynamic they'd settled into when George arrived in Florida. Maybe it's time they stopped pretending their friendship is normal.

Summary
George sighs again and leaves the bed. He finds some decent clothes and puts them on. He combs his hair and makes use of his usual morning routine. He wants to skip some steps but he knows he needs them to make sure it’s not a dream. Routine is boring but it’s also grounding and that’s what he needs these days. With the last look at the room he leaves. The corridor smells like food and he smiles to himself, going straight to the kitchen, excited for a warm breakfast.
When he enters the room his smile widens. A nice smell is joined by a nice view. Next to the counter there’s a person, tall, with broad shoulders and messy hair. He seems relaxed, chopping something, and calmly checking on eggs on the pan. He moves to the stove with his cutting board and that’s when he spots George.
“George.” He says with a soft voice and a soft smile.
“Good morning,” George crosses the kitchen in a few easy steps and throws his arms around the other man. He is welcomed with a sweet kiss. “Making me breakfast?”

“Were you trying to attend it?” George perks up again, like he was playing a game.
Dream plays the losing team. “I was… actually going to ask if-…”
George waits patiently like a hawk hunting down a hare – a beast waiting to pounce.
“I was going to ask if you wanted to join me…?”
Dream is a light fairy lost in the current.
George is a water fairy that helps him find the light.
AKA Dream and George are fairies who are paired up for Spring tasks. Feelings bloom, confusion arises and messes are made. When the annual Amourapalooza festival comes upon Willow Grove, Sapnap pushes Dream to say how he feels. One thing about Dream is certain: he doesn't know what he's doing.

Summary
Dream was huddled up in a corner, fingers tracing the torn fabric of his jumpsuit, legs pulled up to his chest, chin on his knees and his eyes focused on the dog that laid pressed next to Techno’s leg. He was mindlessly running his hand through its fur, trying to untangle the matted parts from where it had slept under the crying obsidian without much thought.
Techno, in the time he had been stuck there, had seen Dream zone out countless times.
This one was different.
Dream wasn’t looking into an unidentified realm with an emotionless, apathy-ridden face. His eyes were clearly there, in the present – not lost in the pain of the past or the impending agony of his await for the future –, caution and something else Techno couldn’t name behind the dull green of his irises. His eyes moved from the dogs face to its fur, the lighter colored patch along its back, trailed along with Techno’s hand that moved to stroke through it.

“No. Been up for a bit,” Dream manages, his throat rough and thick with disuse.
“Oh. You haven’t left your room all day,” George notes, hovering by the door.
“Just haven't felt great today.”
“Are you sick? Do you have a fever? Here, let me-“ George moves quickly to Dream’s side, his hand coming to rest against Dream’s forehead.
“Not, uh, not like that kind of not feeling great,” He mumbles, skin burning where George is still touching his face.
It almost hurts how caring he sounds. It’s something Dream has always loved about him, the way he’s never able to be serious until the time calls for it. It’s a little overwhelming to suddenly be the subject of genuine emotion.Dream swallows, trying to tell George no, he’s ok, he’ll be fine.
“Will you lay down with me?” He finds himself asking instead.
