Summary
“You were quite the mess at the funeral,” she said, talking over him as she usually did. “It was a good performance.”
Illario forced himself not to look away, though he wanted to. He could feel the backs of his eyes starting to burn. The grief during Lucanis’ funeral had not been fake. He loved Lucanis; he would have done anything for him, followed him anywhere. Everything afterward reminded him of his cousin. He couldn’t go one hour without thinking of him.
He spent countless hours crying over his death. Second guessing his choices. Aching for Lucanis back in Treviso so they could run across the rooftops one more time. Looking back now, while he sat on a cold floor, damp, and tied up— it hadn’t been worth it. Caterina still did not want him.
“But you were sloppy,” Caterina continued. “You always were, Illario. You are headstrong and stubborn—“
“We have that in common.” Illario offered up a smile like that of the snake she saw him to be. She hated being interrupted but he didn’t care. What more could he lose?

Summary
“We have a private box,” Illario says against his ear.
Rook shivers. Of course, the Dellamortes would have a private seating area. When they enter the opera house, Illario takes him directly to the right and they’re allowed up a set of carpeted stairs. Once they reach the second landing, Illario guides him to a curtained off area. An attendant stands at the ready, already moving the curtain aside to let Rook and Illario through.
Rook steps in and gasps. The view of the stage is perfect and they sit above everyone else in the opera house. He goes to the balcony and places his hands on the balustrade, looking down as people continue to file in. He hears Illario speaking softly to their attendant and then Illario’s hand touches his lower back.
“To your liking?” Illario asks, his voice soft and deep against Rook’s pointed ear.

Summary
“Waiting for an engraved invitation, Rook?” Illario asks over his shoulder. “No one will bother us. The Crows own this bathhouse.”
Rook clears his throat and similarly strips down, leaving his clothes behind. By comparison, his body is not nearly as bruised or hurting. He walks over to sink beside Illario, keeping space between them just in case. Illario leans back against the edge of the sunken bath, his eyes closed, looking more tired than Rook has ever seen him.
“You’re hurt worse than I realized,” Rook whispers. “We should call for a healer—”
“I’m fine,” Illario mutters.

Summary
It started on the battlefield.
'Great hit, Illario!'
'Illario, your plan was flawless.'
'Thank you, Illario. You were amazing out there.'
'Seems the Demon of Vyrantium has some competition!'
The words sprinkled over time left Illario embarrassed and red in the face. At first, he didn't believe them. They sounded like a way to placate and keep him in line. He did his best to ignore them and move on. And then the words started to leak into other places.

Summary
“Viago has you working instead of partying. Don’t you get tired of being what he wants you to be?”
The words send a spike right through Rook’s chest. He stiffens and turns to face Illario to take him in. Dressed in well-fitted finery, Illario was a peacock amongst corvids. “What did you just say?” he whispers.
“I struck a nerve.” Illario half smiles. “I know what it is like, Rook. More than you could ever dream.” His eyes shift toward his grandmother, who is flanked by his cousin, Lucanis Dellamorte. “I know what it is like to mold yourself to be something you are not just to please the one you care for.”
-- Viago and Rook go to a Crow gala party, where Rook is to keep him safe but when Viago runs into Teia, the intention of the night shifts out of Rook's favor

Summary
This is a project to create a conlang that will expand upon and deepen the Elvhen language that was created for the Bioware game series, Dragon Age. Elvhen, as it is used in the games, is a cipher, not a language. My goal is to create a complete conlang, or at least a simulated conlang, that other fans can use. The goal is to create a constructed language that is to Dragon Age what Sindarin and Quenya are to Lord of the Rings.
I do want to stress that this is a constructed language based upon the limited Elvhen we had encountered within the games. I am not using magical linguistic ninjitsu to "Figure out," the Elvhen language. In terms of the "official," language, consider this linguistic fan-fiction.
This specific work is a collection of my ongoing progress Posts, which you can find on my tumblr (Link below in the notes).

Summary
Aria De Riva has always had the odds stacked against her, but now she can't do it alone. She needs a team and The Demon of Vyrantium, but can she help this seemingly broken man? Can she navigate Crow Politics, Scandal, and her relationship with Illario Dellamorte?
______
“Do not do this; you cannot go.”
“This is a contract, Illario; I cannot deny it.” My tone was harsh, but now he shows concern for my well-being after months of not hearing from him, and he dares suggest that I abandon this contract. Losing my only home and family.
“It is a suicide mission; we don’t even know if Lucanis is even still alive. You will be going to a heavily fortified prison with the hope that he is there and still breathing!” He bit back. His hand was still holding onto my arm, squeezing harder.
“It does not matter, Illario; I need Lucanis for this job.”

A possible bad decision to take in Lucanis after an assassination goes slightly off kilter, and suddenly Emmrich finds his life is full of far more excitement than he'd ever had. But maybe, for the man who had begun to experience the world through a cloudy window of fascination but never truly partaking, the excitement would remind him what it was like to truly be alive again.Bookmarked by xenoglossia (oncharredwings)

Summary
When Lucanis discovers that Rook and Viago's relationship goes beyond that of a normal Crow and her Talon, he throws caution to the wind and indulges himself for one night only; surely that will be enough to satiate him for the rest of his days. However, he's surprised when he finds that they want to indulge him too.
Or, the one where Lucanis FINALLY gets to fulfill his dreams of being sandwiched in-between Viago and Rook.
