His gaze bore into Wade’s intensely and filled with heat, “I like you, Wade. A lot.”
Wade's smile dropped completely. He stared blankly at Logan, his expression unreadable. For a moment, Logan’s heart sank; he thought he’d crossed a line, that Wade would try to let him down easy with some joke.
But instead, Wade did something entirely unexpected.
He started laughing. The goddamn idiot started laughing.
Logan froze, his mouth parting slightly as he stared at Wade in disbelief. His hands remained lightly wrapped around Wade, uncertain if he should hold or let go. He didn’t know what to say or how to respond.
Eventually, the laughter died down, leaving behind an almost eerie quiet. Wade’s expression shifted, his haze turning serious and guarded. He looked at Logan, his eyes soft as he said quietly, “You don’t like me, Logan. Not like that.”

Logan pauses to shoot a sharp glare over his shoulder. “I’m already pissed about the nets. Please don’t piss me off worse.”
The ‘sea monster’ (a little dramatic if you ask Wade) watches, just his bright eyes and his weird little ears poked from the water to listen. What? He doesn’t get a lot of excitement in his daily diet.
Wade doesn’t think himself a monster. It’s just boring in here all alone! He may be part fish, but he’s still just a man in all the ways that count: stupid, funny, dog-brained, and he wants to have fun. God, he’s dying!
…Besides, every time he chews a hole in one of this guy’s nets, he gets to watch those huge arms flex on its drag back out. Mmfh.
OR
Logan is a fisherman. Wade, the town’s fabled “sea monster” (too much credit if you ask Logan) makes his job impossible.

Logan honestly isn’t sure what to expect. Obviously… Wade is part fish. Logan doesn’t care about that, clearly, but he’s always been a slut for servicing and his very first thought is how can I touch Wade, who’s already hissing, “Tell me when you’ve had enough,” into his fucking ear.
Logan groans. He has the sense to be nervous, but Wade just purrs.
He crowds Logan back until he knocks into a large, flat stone, and even further until he’s forced to slide up onto it. Webbed hands are on his strong thighs, then, gripping and pulling them apart.
Logan obliges, way too easily.
