    The only downside? He was alone. People revisited the past all the time. Books, photographs, videos, even reading journals from long dead ancestors, all of these told a story and helped you relive the past.
    Revisiting the past is incredibly easy.
    But no one’s there anymore.

    He may only be in UA’s general studies course right now, but he doesn't plan on staying that way, so instead he's planning to keep his head low and keep working.
    So he doesn't particularly care when he and the rest of the kids are forced into a room to introduce the newest fucked up member of their “family”.
    Instead, leaning on the wall in the back of the crowd, watching as his foster mother, of which he can't even remember the name of, introduces the small kid. Maybe four-ish, as he curls in on himself at the attention of everyone in the hall, green, fluffy hair and wide eyes. Shouta Doesn't get what made this kid be sent here, he seems nice enough. Anxious, but not mean or the type to act out. Shy, cute little kids are the type for other foster families to grab up before the kid gets here.
    “Oh and kids, do make sure to be careful with Midoriya, he's quirkless.” she chirps, and the rest of the kids immediately burst into laughter. As Midoriya shrinks back even further, scared.
    Oh wow, what a dick move.

Bakugou just appears with a megaphone, whistles, someone whistles back and then there was a Midoriya in the fucking floor saved by BAKUGOU of all people saying that he was reckless.

    It was a quiet affair.
    Inko's funeral.

    The sky was bright and blue, mocking him, as the sun beating down on the back of Shouta’s neck. Even in the heat, though, his palms felt clammy and cold. Clammy and cold as he held onto that tiny, tiny hand that clutched him back so strongly.

    Shouta glanced down at his nephew, feeling a wash of concern flood over him when he saw the boy had tears in his eyes. Shouta had already explained to him that his mother was gone, that she had died- had left him- and had to explain further, when the boy asked, that she wouldn’t be able to visit him ever again.

    Death was a heavy concept for a four-year-old, and Shouta had initially been concerned that Izuku wouldn’t understand.

    Seeing the tears in his nephew’s eyes now, Shouta knew that Izuku understood too well.

    In the wake of his elder sister's funeral, Shouta feels like an inadequate guardian for his four-year-old nephew. Hizashi has a few things to say about that.

    Human beings are inherently illogical, and that frustrates him down to his core. To him, it isn't logical why anyone would waste their time on him. He is not kind, or patient, or forgiving. He doesn't save kittens from disgusting boxes in the middle of a downpour as he's walking home from school. He's a half rate hero who loses more civilians than he saves, then comes home and ignores his boyfriend to wallow in self pity.

    If his eyes weren't already chronically dry, he can tell there would be tears pooling. As it is, there's just a dull ache behind his face, adding into the throbbing sensation he's been feeling since he woke up.

    What's the point, right?

Being in Eraserhead's homeroom class is absolutely, categorically, not the goal. But it certainly doesn't hurt.

    It isn't a crush. It's… Mutual admiration. Platonic affection. A teacher providing support for a dedicated student.

    At most, you could call it an admissible schoolgirl fantasy. For his part, Aizawa can't afford to see it as anything else.

    If you hadn't found yourselves in such close proximity, you might have spent your whole lives happily believing this.

    But he also quite literally has a nation of his own to run, and it's not like he has any intention of dragging this out any longer than it has to. If all goes well, all Eri will remember is a night spent camping and playing with a dog. Easy, painless and trauma-free."

    All does not go well, Shouta’s the one who has a miserable experience, and Eri remembers much more than a night spent camping and playing with a dog.

    After a yakuza quirk accidentally summons Kakashi to BNHA just in time for him to save Eri during the Shie Hassaikai raid, Shouta has to deal with watching the shinobi until they can find a way to send him back.

    So, when he wakes up in hospital with no idea of how he got there, and a Hizashi that is not quite the Hizashi he remembers comes to collect him, he is, to put it lightly, very confused.

    Even more concerning however, is that a wild class of first years believe that a 16-year-old is their teacher.
