She has to win again, to prove it wasn't just a fluke but the return of the prodigy driver puts a wrench in things.

As a young boy he’d snuck out of the house frequently, and explored far beyond where a child should really have been, and one day stumbled upon the marvel of karting. The asphalt burning with freshly burned tire tracks as the karts went round and round, the close calls during overtakes, the spin outs and speed of the karts themselves, how they flitted around the track faster than he’d ever seen anything move. The entire feel of it was overwhelming as he stood just outside of the crowd, but there was something else, someone else, that still stuck out in his memories from that day. A young blond boy, winner of the day’s race, saying as he stepped onto the podium, “I will make the impossible, possible.”
