Now don't get him wrong, Sidious usually accounted for a great many things.
Potentially causing the end of the galaxy with a highly dangerous bioweapon? Yes, precautions taken.
Grievous or Dooku possibly getting tossed into the vacuum of space before the end of the war? Not ideal, but he could adapt somehow.
Windu and Skywalker somehow becoming the closest friends...ever? force forbid that should play out or he may be doomed...
Skywalker taking interest in and later marrying Senator Amidala? Yes, perfectly in the plans.
Should work out just fine.

...granted he does have to deal with a boyfriend/future husband who is just as chaotic as him, if not more so, but oh well, Skywalkers were well known for adapting on the spot.

Summary
A few days pass after the destruction of the Malevolence and the loss of another key Separatist leader.
Things continue getting better and better for the Jedi order, the Clones, and the general public, however the same cannot be said for the Republic Senate or the CIS.
Things for the governments continue getting worse the more time goes on, with corruption and hypocrisy exposed on a seemingly daily basis.
And a certain Sith Lord's plans fall further off track after learning a key piece of his puzzle vanishes.
Anakin isn't very concerned about things at the moment. As he, Ahsoka, and the 501st, are dispatched to the Quell system to aid Jedi master Pong Krell, whose small fleet is ambushed by a larger separatist force.
This all leads to an incident where Anakin is injured, Pong is left in charge afterwards, and left to look after a worried battalion of clones, and a distraught Padawan.

I changed a lot of stuff from Canon btw y'all:
Anakin doesn't commit mass murder and gets therapy instead, him and Padmé are just friends, instead of Anakin being as close with Poo-poo-tine as he is in canon he's lowkey kinda creeped out by him, everybody's rockin w/ the lgbt (well not everybody ig), the jedi council gets called out on their shit (only the ones that need to be), ~ c h i l d h o o d t r a u m a ~ and literally so much more. I couldn't tag everything bc theres so much stuff.
Some of this will be REALLY dark, so be sure to look at the chapter warnings. But don't worry there will be fluff as well.
Anakin is gonna be 17 in this one. The legal age of consent in the Republic is 21. Padmé is 23 in this. Rex is 9.5 years old or 19 in human years. Obi-Wan is 33. Ahsoka is 14 when she's introduced. Aayla is 26. Cody and the rest of the CC are 10.5 or 21. I'll try to specify ages better in the story.
Also, this is canon but Rex is the BEST.
Anyways this is the first fanfic I've ever written so it will probably suck but I hope some y'all enjoy it.
