What? No, not Robin, what the fuck are you talking about? Robin isn’t Batman’s Son. Damian has no claim to that, and as soon as he discovers the true origin of that name, he’ll be appalled at the idea of entering battle while wearing scraps from a shitty old circus routine.
No, I mean something more concrete than being a dumb sidekick. I’m saying they should train him to be the new Batman.
Summon all of Bruce’s warriors to offer their services to the Blood Son. They will know who they serve now. And they will share every secret of Batman’s operations with the new Batman so he may continue the Mission…
…once he grows a bit taller.

Summary
Bruce will never claim to be a good man or a good father. He gave those things up years and years ago— left on the asphalt of a bloodied alleyway, decorated with his mother's pearls and the smell of gunpowder.
He would like to say, though, that he tries.
He's come a long way since taking in Dick— only twenty, just eleven years older than Dick had been at the time and far too young to be a father— and he likes to think he's learned a lot about taking care of traumatized children in that time.
All of his fights with Dick— as horrible and explosive as they were— had taught him something. Even if that something was that he doesn't know how to say I love you without making it sound like I don't trust you.

He shoves his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, forcing his shoulders to stay loose and his face passive. "Nah," he tilts his head. "Not me, anyway. What the fuck is up with the replacement?"
"Alfred's—"
"On vacation," Jason rolls his eyes. "I know. I ain't stupid, old man. I meant why the hell is he doing the dishes?"
Bruce squints at him for a long minute. Jason can practically hear the gears turning in his head and wants to start screaming. Is everybody in this house stupid?
"Did… you want to do them?" Bruce asks after almost a solid minute.
What.
Tim has to do the dishes and is Not Having A Good Time About It. Jason is (unfortunately) burdened with the only emotional braincell in the family.

Summary
Tim isn't sure what started it— he never really is— but there had just been so many noises all of a sudden. All of them layered on top of each other: the TV, the clicking of Titus' nails against the floor, Damian talking to Alfred (the butler) in the next room over, the thump of Alfred (the cat) jumping from his cat tree to the ground, and the click-click-click of the gas stove turning on. All of it piling on top of each other until Tim thought he might start crying or screaming at the top of his lungs just to get all of it to stop.
(It's happened before. It'll happen again. Tim isn't sure how to stop it, though, or what the problem even is in the first place. Everything just feels like too much all of a sudden, and he's stuck feeling so angry he could hit somebody.)
He ended up running away to hide in his room like a baby. And now he's going to miss dinner.

He's not used to mid-western hospitality and if they make fools of themselves...well, he apologized early.
