Izuku felt his eyes bulge. Suspended in disbelief, all he could do was laugh.
In fact, Izuku couldn't help but think that this prophecy sounded like complete and utter bullshit.
Or, when Izuku finds himself in the capital, his world is upended. His mission? Protect the brash, foul-mouthed prince from the shadows, for he is the Hero who will wake the realm from her slumber… eventually.
But to succeed Izuku must hide that he has magic, unless he wants to end up on the pyre by morn.

This Arthur is a terrible person and there’s nothing that can change that. Or so Merlin believes.

Elphaba plans to lie low, not meet anyone important, and hopefully not become found out while she navigates the powers she was born with. Standing up to a princess isn't exactly lying low, but in her defense, she didn't realize Galinda was a princess at first! But one fateful decision reveals that their destinies are irrevocably entwined, and that there is no way to run from fate. Elphaba's magic has a very specific purpose: to protect Galinda so she might fulfil her destiny.
