He grabs a tissue off his nightstand, blowing his nose in it before throwing it into the trash can at his side.
The glare hybrid has been laying in bed all morning like this.
He roles his head to the side to the sound of someone knocking on his door.
“Come in.” he croaks, coughing.
Two heads pop in, Joel, tanuki ears lowers in curiosity and concern, and Lizzie, her cat ears perked in attention, “We heard you we're not feeling good.” Lizzie says, “How are you?”

Lizzie was a cat, and sometimes, cats and humans didn’t get along. She knew after she became a ruler, she couldn’t truly die, and would just return, but she also knew if the others found out she was a cat, her ruler status would be revoked, and she would be nothing but wild and something to cage and tame. None of the rulers suspected she was a cat, which was a blessing.
Except for one, Shelby, who was catching on to her secret quickly. Lizzie would have to think of something to keep Shelby occupied, and she would have to think of something quickly. Her time was running out, and Lizzie didn’t want to end up caged.

REWRITE OF THE ORIGINAL BC IT WAS KINDA TRASH!!!
Accidental villain Lizzie AU where after she plays what she considers a prank on Shelby to keep her from finding the truth, a world war ensues. Someone digs into the situation further and finds out that it was Lizzie’s fault, turning her into the main villain of the Empires series, and she has nothing to blame but Curiosity and fear.I guess curiosity really does kill the cat.

Summary
The Labrador's breath hitched, but he couldn’t stop staring at Lizzie’s glowing eyes, even with the malice they held. Jimmy couldn’t stop inspecting the gills on the side of his should-be rival’s head. The tail swaying behind her didn’t help cease his gaping at all, only participating in making his head hurt more.
This was Lizzie, but it also was The Ocean Queen. A historical figure Jimmy and Lizzie, despite being basically enemies, both loved to study and sympathized with. To think that Lizzie, the Catborn afraid of even a small drizzle of rain, was the supposed ruler of every body of water and fish in the sea in one of her past lives — well.
It was shocking to say the least.
OR/TLDR; Jimmy goes back in time, and finds someone a bit TOO familiar.

The residents, as quick as they are to create and adapt, are forced to prioritize their own means of survival while keeping their community and peers safe. Efforts are divided amongst the different groups of friends from crops to attire to scientific advancements, there was someone in charge of whatever anyone needed. As more people fall under the virus's influence, more and more resources become harder to come by, spirits lower, and outside becomes more and more dangerous to traverse.
On the trek home from Ren and Martyn's to drop off some steak, Tango crosses Impulse who's wandering aimlessly as dusk settles over their island. Tango lets his guard down once he recognizes one of his best friends and once he's in arms reach, that's when the blonde notices the bloody stretch of skin peeking from under the mans collar and absent air-filtering mask.
