Summary
The chain agree to crawl through a mega dungeon for some unknown artifact. They are still unsure of whom they can trust but can't deny that the challenges ahead sound fun! More importantly the chain will have to share their struggles and trauma and learn more about each other if they wish to go home. Deals were made along the way and how will those effect the future? And why had Hylia given Wild the Ancient hero's aspect in the first place? Who was this ancient hero? Hopefully they all survive long enough to find out.
This is an AU for 'Aspects of a Hero' by Tashacee because I can't get these scenes out of my head and now it's become much bigger then I ever imagined. I have changed the name of this work as I think it is big enough to deserve its own. This work was once called 'Au Aspects of a hero'.Series

This story is heavily, and I mean HEAVILY inspired by SCE_Jadeite's work, Linked love. I was sad when the story ended and the author disappeared. But you know what they say, if you want something done it's best to do it yourself sometimes. This story follows, you, the reader, trying to find your way out of the Linked universe after being transported there. I do have to warn that this is very much a self insert and if you're not okay with that, go write your own fan fiction. This story is basically me expressing how much I want to boink some of the Links. Anyway have fun reading if you dare!

Four and Wild get separated from the rest of the Chain by a portal accident. Stuff happens, and Four tries to split, but something goes horribly wrong. Now Four, with a head full of The Colors and extra limbs, as well as an anxious Wild have to travel together while a certain dark is hunting them. During this time Four and Wild bond, and long tucked away secrets and forgotten memories finally come to light.

They both knew what treason meant. It meant being killed.
“I can’t die.”
The look on Ghirahim’s face was nothing short of ghastly.
“We’ll make you wish you could.”
Or; Dark is kept in a small, empty room for hours at a time as punishment whenever he fails to kill the heroes. It does more damage than he realises, and, when a foiled escape plan somehow leads to Dark ending up among the chain... Maybe he can start to heal.

“You wish for me to infiltrate their ranks, master?”
Dark Link tries to keep the incredulous disbelief from his voice. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how idiotic this plan or his master is being. If that was what Demise wanted, that would be what it got. Demise did not accept disobedience. Or failure.
Which is how Dark finds himself staring down the blades of nine heroes, wondering why this is his life.
“So,” he begins. “Sorry ‘bout the whole, uh, trying to kill you repeatedly for millennia thing.” For some reason, this makes the heroes tense further. “…No hard feelings?”

Dark Link joins the Chain.
