Summary
Every year the Hermit's do a secret Santa gift exchange.
This year Mumbo pulled Scar's name.
Mumbo was very excited since him and Scar had finally started dating only a few months prior.
The human knew it had to be special.
He spent hours looking for the perfect gold.
The human had accidentally gotten some of the liquid metal on his skin and it burned him.
Mumbo had ignored the searing pain on his left arm and continued to work until he was done
As soon as he was done he had scraped the cooled metal off his skin, cringing at the red and puffy burn on his skin.
He poured a cool regen potion over it and drank a healing one, wrapping it up.
Scar invited him over for diner that night, and asked about his injury.
He lied to him telling the elf that it was "Just a redstone related injury" and "I should be fine in a few days."
It was fine in a few days, the potions doing their job, but it lefts a small scar on his arm.
To bad it was just the beginning.
or, Mumbo pulls Scar's name in a gift exchange, but things go down hill for him.

Summary
It's that time of the month where all the Hermits (who want to) go to one Hermit's base and have a giant sleepover/snuggle pile.
This month Pearl volunteered, having turned her spare room into one big nest, full of as meany blankets, pillows, and soft things she could find.
Some Hermits are already there, but some still are coming in to join in on the snuggles.
Grian brings in a box of gummy packets, placing them in the middle of the nest with all the other snacks the Hermits brought.
Scar walks up behind him (almost falling from the uneven surface of the nest), wraping his arms around Grian, pulling him close, "Hi there."
"Scar." Grian says, "What are you doing?"
"Hmm." Scar hums, "I don't know." He says before tightening his arms, carrying Grian over to where he was sitting with Mumbo next to him.
He sits down, halving Grian sitting in his lap.
The avian tries to get out of his arms, but Scar tightens them.
Mumbo laughs, wrapping his arms around Scar and Grian.
Or, Hermit Snuggle pile!

Mumbo wraps his arms around Grian's waist, nuzzling his face into the side of Grian's neck.
He hopes it shows Grian his won't hurt him, having his fangs close to his neck, but not biting him.

Grian should be enjoying the gesture.
But his instincts are screaming.
Danger! Predator! Danger!
He knows Mumbo would never hurt him, but he can't exactly tell his instincts that now can he.
His body starts shaking as he goes into fight or flight mode.
His wings puff out and Mumbo has to let go as wings involuntarily push away from him.
Grian's heart is racing and not in a good way.
or, Grian's instincts make it hard from Mumbo to show him affection the way he wants.

Mumbo was working on a redstone circuit, and as he sprinkled redstone dust down he wondered, 'what does it taste like?'
He took a pinch of the dust, putting it onto his tongue.
At first he was disgusted by the flavor, but it sent a tingling sensation throughout his body.
or, Mumbo gets addicted to eating redstone --> gets sick.

Mumbo's pain free, very much alive eyes lock with his own.
"Hi." Mumbo says in a quite voice, his arms wrapped around his fiance.
"Hi." Grian repeats, squeezing Mumbo with the arms he has around the ravenett.
"We need to get up mate." Mumbo chuckles, pulling a hand from around Grian, and brushing a dirty blond lock of hair from the avian's face.
Grian wines, he does not want to let Mumbo go.
or, Mumbo keeps dying, and Grian keeps restarting the day to try and save Mumbo, but keeps failing.

Grian wakes up with a stuffy nose.
He hates it when his allergies act up.
The avian pulls himself out of his nest and into his bathroom.
He opes up his medicine cabinet, pulling out a box of decongestants.
Grian quickly reads the instructions before popping two tablets into his mouth.
He puts the box back, turning the water on, and cupping his hands under the cool stream.
The avian brings the liquid up to his lips, drinking the water, and swallowing the pills.

Grian is so exhausted.
he only woke up, what? 45 mins ago?
He yawns, sitting down in front of the shulker he was going through.
'A small nap couldn't hurt.' he tells himself, letting his eyes fall closed.
Or, Grian takes the wrong medicine, casing him to get a little sleep -> Mumbo finds him -> snuggles.
