When Jax's only friend abstracts, he convinces himself showing any signs of sadness is weak, something he refuses to be perceived as.
Ragatha, looking for another opportunity to gain validation and to be liked by others, assumes Jax is upset and goes to offer comfort for him. Jax immediately snaps at her in an attempt to conceal his feelings.

It all started with a headache. Jax didn't think much of it, although it was a bit strange that he had a headache... Over time, it got worse, and something strange happens to the cocky, purple rabbit. Every once in a while, he'll just stop moving, as if someone paused him like pausing a video or a movie. He'll get really bad headaches and will get very nauseous and dizzy... What's wrong with the rabbit? Why does this keep happening? And why are his legs suddenly weak? Read to find out just what is happening to Jax...

Ragatha suppressed a squeal of joy. How could Jax, the always smug, jerk, bastard rabbit, be so sweet and affectionate and cuddly?
Ragatha glanced down to realize Jax had fallen asleep with his head in the crook of her neck and was still purring loudly, his ears pinned back.
He looked so adorable, so innocent and vulnerable. He was always so reserved, never let anyone comfort him or anything like that… The doll wished he would be so open to affection when he was thinking normally. She wished he felt comfortable enough with them to open up and let them help him.
Ragatha knew he always put up this mask of being a bully. Ragatha knew that he was just distracting himself from something. Something he felt like he had to hide deep down inside of him, not letting it show for it’d break him.
She couldn’t let him break.

-“Oh, nah, I don’t think I did. My parents couldn’t afford one I don’t think… And as for your question Zooble, I simply got better things to think about then a world we ain’t ever going back to.” He simply laid his head back down, using his arms as a pillow.
“Jax! Don’t be so… so…”
“Truthful?”
“Mean!” Ragatha huffed and looked back to the others, continuing with the conversation. “Anyway, I’m pretty sure my pet was a dog, but it may have been a cat. All I remember is feeding it every morning and it sleeping on the bed with me.”

Zooble stared at him, “You don’t know what a tattoo is? Or piercings?”Jax shrugged, “No.”
“How?!?”“Well, It’s not like I was on Earth long. I was only four when I came here.” He inspected his glove, not unlike someone inspecting their nails.
“Wait WHAT? You were FOUR?!!?” Ragatha seemed put off by this, looking at him with a mix of horror and…pity? He frowned, no one should be pitying him. Especially over something as trivial as what age he was when he arrived.
“Um, yeah? What about it?”
“Oh, lord…you’ve been here for that long? Do..do you even REMEMBER Earth?”
Jax paused, trying to see what all he remembered, “Not really, I just remember moldy bread, screaming from what I think are my parents…staying up in my room a lot. I remember chocolate, but I think it was stale… hmm, a few more things, like trees…the sun. The Moon. But that's it.”
“F*#@$% man…you didn’t exactly have a great home huh…” Zooble whispered this, funny enough.
“Not really.” He shrugged, “But then again that's just what I remember.”
Gangle spoke up, “H-how do you know so much about E-Earth then?”
“I used to be obsessed with Earth, when I was younger, I asked a lot of questions and got a bunch of answers. I outgrew it though. No point in asking about something I’ll never experience.”
“Wait, that’s not something you have to ‘outgrow’ Jax. You can be curious about Earth all you want! And hey, maybe one day we WILL get out of here.” Jax sighed at Ragathas attempt, rolling his eyes.
“Listen Raggs, it’s not that important, plus it’ll just drive me insane to know I’ll never experience anything I’m asking about. Besides, I’m perfectly happy here. Sure, not the best place to be, but it’s home.”
Jax could tell Ragatha wanted to desperately respond, but at that moment Caine suddenly popped up in the middle of the room. “WELL HELLO MY SUPERSTARS, I JUST WANTED TO CHECK UP ON HOW- OH… WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING SITTING AROUND! THERE'S STILL MORE TO CLEAN!”
The group groaned as they got up, going back to what they were doing before.

“Jax, do you know how to make cupcakes?” The question was so sudden and random that Jax stopped in his tracks, staring at Ragatha like she had grown a second head. He glanced at all the other characters, who had also stopped to stare at Ragatha, needing to make sure he wasn’t the only one questioning Ragatha. Once satisfied that the others were just as confused as he was he turned his attention back to the Doll.“No…why would I?” He responded, narrowing his eyes in suspicion at the ragdoll.
“No reason!” She said far to cheerfully,
