Lucy Maud Montgomery prided herself on a perfectly ordinary life. A life with very little excitement or impulsive decisions. It was always perfect, living in a quiet village up in the northern mountains.
That is, until a few... unlikely things happen. Something along the lines of her witnessing a tiger in the forest, that makes farmers go insane and Lucy meeting Atsushi Nakajima. Maybe she's insane as well.

It suddenly occurred to Viktor that if he went missing,
There would be very little done about it.
Not until the next morn. Not when it was easy to feign Viktor retiring early and could not be disrupted. Not when the house swallowed voices and only mirrored them as faint murmurs in the dark. Not when by sunrise, Viktor would be long gone, into the woods that none knew; into the house that caged and killed his last kin;
Into the cold mercy of a madman.
He could not run.
He could hardly fight back.

Summary
San always believed that he would live until he was old and gray in his hometown of Namhae, small and reclusive amongst the rest of Joseon with only the sea and legends to keep them company. His only desire is to win the heart of the prettiest girl in town before she is swept away in the arms of another man, no matter if he has to retrieve a fallen star or cross the forbidden wall to do so.
Fate has other plans for him though when the use of a candle in search of his mother instead results in him crashing into the most beautiful person he has ever seen. He finds himself thrust into an unfamiliar world filled with magic that he could never have imagined when the person reveals themselves to be the very same star that San had seen fall from the sky a few hours ago by his crush's side.
The two of them strike a deal: San will give the star, Seonghwa, the remaining half of the magic candle to return to his home in space so long as he presents himself to Haewon as a demonstration of San's love for her. But the journey back to Namhae is not an easy one, frought with danger from those who hunt the heart of a fallen star for the chance at immortality, all while San is forced to learn what his own heart truly desires.
