Violet was quick to duck, cover one of the other soldiers she'd been tending to in the van before the shells had begun wizzing. A few moments later, she was marching past a load of men carrying stretchers, over to where some stupid men had decided to abandon a small group of wounded. They weren’t even on stretchers for the gods' sake! Yelling a few orders, Violet was quick to lean down and check for pulses and found that all had the steady thump. But something stopped her in her tracks. Most of these soldiers were men, so all had badges. But they weren’t Navarre badges, no, these were Tyrrendor’s crest. What on earth were Tryrrish soldiers- wait a second, they’re soldiers of the prince. What are they doing this far into our territory…?
Basically, the WW2-inspired fanfic nobody will read. This is a fan fiction from the point of view of Vi, who’s a high-ranked field and ward healer who picks up soldiers from the front lines and helps take care of them. And she just stumbled upon the prince of Tyrrendor, Xaden Riorson. ;}

Jon is an immigrant moved to Navarre by his mother as a child, and chose the Healer path long before actually enlisting to ensure his sister's future. We follow him from the beginning of FW, when he fixes up during the day and entertains the riders (and not only) at night. But with the new year of cadets, one catches his eyes more than the rest of the fresh batch of eye-candies. And said candy is more than willing, but for this particular one, Jon sets a rule - he will not sleep with Ridoc unless they're in a committed relationship. Which neither of them are really ready for right now. However, as the time flies, Jon and Ridoc grow closer. Jon gains a more mature view of the rider, and the rider's tension towards the healer gets intimately unbearable.
But the continent is at war, and, as we know, war rips people apart. Literally and figuratively.
Jon needs to decide whether he stands by Navarre, the continent, or his sister first and foremost. The decision leads him to a series of life changing, and life ending, events. But for better or for worse, Ridoc should be there. Because who will if he's not?(Spotify playlist for the work is in Notes of the first chapter!)
