Summary
The king of hell and the radio demon hate each other. Or, at least, they used to. But when hate turns to tolerance and tolerance turns to interest, the two begin on a path of morality and vengeance that they never expected to take. Especially not together.
This is mainly a radioapple fic, but Part Two (chapters 9-50) could also be considered a one-sided Vox/Alastor fic as well.

Lucifer looks through one of the many windows of his room. This one is giving a view on a balcony Charlie insisted to make for the aesthetics but the only two rooms having access to it are Lucifer and Alastor’s respective private room. So, there he is, the radio demon standing tall with his burgundy comfy-looking pajamas. Chest fur coming out of the rather revealing unbuttoned shirt, Lucifer might have never seen Alastor with so few clothes and yet with the pale light of the heavenly city, Alastor looks ethereal.

What happens when Loona, in her search to satisfy her hunger to know 'truth' up on Earth and perhaps beyond, discovers one particular truth which flips everything upside down?
Furthermore, what happens when the 'Sins' catch wind of such an undesirable disturbance? All of this and more unfolds, or perhaps more "devolves", in the sequel to 'Stranded Hound': "Burning Truths, Or: How To Confront One's Past".

He couldn't stop seeing pictures of himself as he'd been at the battle, plastered all over Hell's trashiest rags and replayed on news broadcasts when they had nothing more exciting to report on.
One would think Hell's population would have moved on – but no, there were still articles with asinine titles like 'Let's Look at Lucifer!'
He wished they'd just stop. He didn't need the constant reminder of how much of a monster he was.

Lucifer is not having a good day. Week. Month. He's been moping more than usual, and Alastor has had enough of it. If he can't distract Lucifer from his bad mood using their regular biting barbs, then he has a few other tricks up his sleeve by now.

"I would like to continue... but don't mistake my submission for weakness," he finally said, his tone firm. "And don't assume that it gives you the right to abuse your power. I have my limits, my boundries, and I expect you to respect them."
As he finished speaking, he fixed the king with a steady gaze.
"Promise me," he said again, his voice unwavering.
"I... promise... to... try ." Lucifer answered with sincerity.*

Not their bed but one left abandoned in Alastor’s old rooms, untouched and forgotten since before he’d moved into Lucifer’s. The sheets smelled wrong - faded with disuse, lacking the sharp static bite of Alastor’s scent - but his body had already begun to twist the space into something familiar. Something necessary.

Despite everything wrong with how a lot of Hell celebrates Hellentine's Day, Charlie's always had a soft spot for it. She likes having an excuse to shower the people she loves in gifts and affection — and it's nice to have a partner for it now that Lucifer is back in her life.

“I seem to have uncovered your dastardly plan, my dear!” Alastor piped up, all radio demon and static. “You just wanted to walk unaccosted. You have the power to scare the witless even further out of their tiny minds, why not employ it if that’s all you wanted?”
“It wasn’t all I wanted,” Lucifer protested. It was just a nice fringe benefit!
“Then you did want something,” Alastor replied, letting the microphone drop down by his side. “Why not tell me? I’ve always been very obliging, haven’t I?”
“It’s not the word I’d use for you, gorgeous, but sure.” Lucifer snorted, looking back towards the street. Down the street, he could see their destination and it was just a reminder of something else playing on his mind. “I think it’s probably time to let Sera know what’s coming.”
The one thing heaven and hell have in common, other than internet that really should get an upgrade, was bureaucracy.

Lucifer’s expression pinched with anger where Alastor’s loosened with faux kindness as he slapped the outstretched hand and got to his feet.
“What do you take me for, then?” Gone was the slumped posture and miserable furrow of his brow, replaced by ramrod straight defiance. Here, finally, he carried himself like the proper ruler of Hell.
Alastor's ruse went with the smacked hand, fangs glinting in the curve of a snarl quivering around his blackened gums as he shook off the prickling itch of Lucifer’s touch from his palm. “An oblivious fool.”

Alastor dragged his claws through the soft mop of blonde hair, his ambient static hum the only other noise in the room.
“Don’t like visiting Heaven,” Lucifer finally mumbled into Alastor’s coat, tightening his grip around his waist until the demon could feel the prick of his claws through the fabric. He hummed a vague noise that might have been agreement – it seemed as though detailed explanations were somewhat out of reach for the king, right now.
And for once, that wasn’t even a comment on his height.
