Friendship is an unbreakable bond that lasts forever. At least, that’s what Thranduil thought—until his best friend disappeared from the palace in the middle of the night without any explanation. Back then, he was the prince of Mirkwood. Now, he is the king.
When Naira knocks on the palace gates once more, everything has changed. She doesn’t seem to recognize Thranduil, recoils from him, hides, and, in general, no longer appears to be the elf he once knew so well. The stories she has heard about him over the years have only instilled fear in her heart, leaving her terrified whenever she stands before the king. Thranduil, on the other hand, has spent all these years longing for nothing more than to have her back.

He has had brief “romantic” encounters with others, but never thought anyone could truly devote themselves to him, an elf so different from others. Then Glorfindel comes around. Will he be another brief flirtation? Just a temporary distraction in a moment of time? Or can love sprout in the most barren of soil? What if that love is lost? Galion learns to love himself through the love that he is shown, in all of it’s forms, from others.
