For the longest time, Tarzan had wondered why he was different, unlike any other creature of this forest. He thought maybe the search for answers was beyond his fingertips…then he met Jane.
She was like him, and in her own way, she’d given him a kindness through her words, and bit by bit, she was granting him the knowledge he needed to be of man.
But it wasn’t enough. Despite his efforts, he was of the forest, a wild man hardly human himself, a lowly beast that, no matter how hard he tried, would never be one of them.
The best that he could hope for was that they’d be merciful, and make his end swift.

Tarzan is a "Man-Cub" raised by gorillas in the jungles of Bukuvu and mentored by Bagheera the black panther, who teaches him the "Law of the Jungle". Some years later, Tarzan is threatened by the leopard Sabor under the orders of Shere Khan the tiger and finds himself separated from his family when he then befriends a lion cub named Simba. Together, they get tangled up in a wild adventure as they encounter some of the jungle's inhabitants while Tarzan's family and teacher attempt to find him before Shere Khan's lackeys.
