"Okay- so just to summarise for the sake of efficiency- you caught the criminal, heard him out, agreed with his motives, and then he got arrested by someone else, you escaped, and now you want us to stage a jailbreak and then free him entirely." Techno's face was flat and his voice more monotone than usual as he spoke, rubbing his eyes much in the same way Phil had.
"Uh- well it sounds bad when you say it like that-" Tommy winced, rubbing the back of his neck, "But anyway - are you in?"
Techno gestured down to himself, where he was wearing a rather gaudy silver and gold suit, "Do you think I'm wearing this for fun? You're lucky I did a stint on one of the US ships last year, you know how many sewing machines I've had thrown at me because I went to wardrobe asking for a period appropriate costume an hour before I was meant to leave?" Techno paused, "Two. Which isn't a lot, but it was highly alarming both times."

"Oh? He didn't tell you?" Dream was smirking under his mask, a curl of cruel lips, "Phil is his husband."

It wasn't strange for the Craft household to be woken up by screaming.
The nightmares had gotten less frequent in the year and a half they'd had Tommy - going from nightly to once or twice a month - but they were never easier. Tommy wouldn't even wake up fully, sometimes, screaming until his throat was raw with his eyes open but glassy, still trapped in the nightmare world his brain had created.
They always got worse around this time of year, though. When the winters were long, and the anniversary of Tommy's mother's death rolled around.
"Hey buddy," Phil whispered, settling himself on the bed as Tommy sobbed quietly, his stuffed cow Henry clutched tightly, "It's okay, I'm here now baby, I'm here."

Of all the advantages that being the child of a god gave him, the ability to easily book flights was not one.
The rest of his family were easy enough - Phil had his raven, Chat, Wilbur had his Capuchin monkey, Friend, and Clementine hadn't yet settled and so could stay in a small form.
Techno, on the other hand, had a bloody polar bear to board, and had to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a specialized storage area on a plane which could account for the weight of a polar bear. Thankfully, there weren't many extra-large Daemons traveling ordinarily, but he still needed to book his flights months in advance to guarantee getting the space.
At the very least, by the time they were off the plane and back at Camp Half-Blood, Steve would have plenty of room to spare in the spacious fields and forests, an entire summer spent in freedom and safety and without the threat of being jumped by a gorgon on the way to school.
Yes, that had happened three times this year already.

Coffee was always his first warning that Wilbur had entered his apartment, since the Nephilim always made a beeline for the pot before anything else, including saying hi to his boyfriend.
He supposed he couldn't complain, though, since he'd bought the coffee machine specifically for Wilbur, to supplement the obscene amount of the stuff he drank on a daily basis. When Quackity had lived alone, he used to simply summon (steal) cups from the cafe down the street, but Wilbur had insisted that he couldn't let the Law be broken right under his nose, and so they were in need of something to fill that gap.
He did wish that he'd get morning cuddles first, though. If he wanted to cling to his wonderfully tall boyfriend *now*, he'd have to get all the way out of bed, wander down to the kitchen, and by the time he was there and caffeinated, he would've lost the morning sleepiness that let him sleep in til noon.
