Fourteen days ago, Akemi Homura vanished, seemingly into thin air after a long night of fighting the sworn night of Magical Girls: the maelefic Wraiths, born of the curses of mankind. Her companions, Sakura Kyouko, Tomoe Mami, and Miki Sayaka give chase, finding themselves in unfamiliar surroundings. The trio search for where their ally could have gone, but soon the group is fractured even further as Kyouko is separated from the group during a fight. Homura turned her gaze back to the gravestone, confusion and frustration evident on her usually neutral face, truly lost in her thoughts and feelings. Kyouko, on the other hand, stared at her in surprise for a moment before her gaze shifted to a specific direction in the cemetery. To a place where she knew three charred bodies were buried, probably now nothing more than plant fertilizer, the bodies of two adults and a child.
“Yes. It’s normal.”

One girl wondered with horror if it was due to the wish of one girl, the insult of a human raising themselves into Godhood.
Maybe it was for no reason at all. It made no difference as the Stardust Vertex started to descend upon the Earth only interested in consuming humans or destroying evidence that humans ever lived upon the land. This was the world they now lived in.
Still many would argue that it was still a world worth fighting for.
