Normally it might have even been endearing. He just needed to get away from those piercing, all-knowing eyes of his, because he could already feel himself unraveling.
“You don’t need to worry about me, Herr Forehead. You always say it best, ja? ‘I’m fine!’” The prosecutor’s smile probably looked as insincere as it felt.
