Bilbo Baggins wants to do something special to repay Maglor for helping him with his writing over the years he's spent retired in Rivendell. Unfortunately, the elf in question is a little hesitant to cooperate, once he knows what his little hobbit friend wants to do. Not that his request is unreasonable, not in the slightest, but Maglor has a rather complex relationship with his memories, and isn't quite sure how he feels about having them recorded for posterity.
Still, if it makes the halfling happy...

Dream fell into him so easily, like he had been waiting for this, and Sapnap laced his arms around Dream’s shoulders. Gently, ever-so-gently, he stroked his thumb along Dream’s upper arm. “Are you okay?” he asked again.
“Sure,” Dream mumbled into Sapnap’s chest, which really wasn’t an answer, and Sapnap held him a little bit tighter. “Can you—” he broke off, and then there was silence. Like the words weren’t meant to have gotten past his lips. Can you. Can he do what?
Sapnap thought he knew. He felt uncertain, weightless. He wanted to say um, stutter through a few sentences, get Dream to laugh at his incompetence. What he said instead, slightly breathless, was—
“Lie down.”

The world throw the burden of feeling bad and try to make it up, to him. So it doesn't matter if he hates the world, because surely the world hates him too.
His memory overlapping with past, present and future. And God, that feels like shit because he doesn't know if what's he saying sometimes is in which timeline.
At this point, he doesn't even care if people look at him weirdly. It's not his fault he slipped sometimes.
God, he's pathetic.
Everything can be too much sometimes, and people can't always afford to be positive forever so they use other method to keep them going, no matter how horrid it is. Takemichi is no exception.
