The first two chapters weren't even edited, I did no research, and in general its just poorly written. But I wrote it with love, and I still have very fond feelings towards this fic and what it inspired in me at the time. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as 16-19 year old me enjoyed writing it <3

Restlessness creeps in only slowly, finding cracks and toeholds in the busy spin of productive consciousness. It builds up that way, sediment at the bottom of a fast moving stream. At the surface, the water runs on, until the silt rises enough to stop or divert it.
They are not there yet. Galahad can't help but be aware of it there, of the raising level of it that must grow in Tristan as the summer reaches its height. Their garden grows - though with objective eyes, Galahad can see that it seems sparse and ragged in comparison to the neatly tended rows of their neighbors.
In the nest above the chimney, the young hawks bat their wings and contemplate the sky. It will soon be their domain. Galahad tries not to imagine the same dark-eyed and fierce expression on Tristan when the he former knight stands alone and quiet in the spaces between the green rows.

This story is pretty much all about Thorin and Bilbo's budding relationship in the eyes of not only Thorin and Bilbo, but also through Fili, Kili and Ori's eyes. There are a good number of letters written between Dis, Thorin, Fili and Kili, and smutty pamphlets were written about Thorin and Bilbo.
Also, Thorin has to deal with scheming dwarves, oblivious hobbits and irritating relatives who really should know better by now.

“Do you have a deathwish?” The phoenix answers him with a question this time, apparently intent on dodging the question about its name. Maybe it’s for the best, Lance’s mama always warned him that he tended to get attached to things once he’d named them. He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath.
He isn’t going to get attached this time.
Making sure that he’s still holding the phoenix’s attention, he reaches down and pushes his cloak aside, then lifts his shirt. There, bright red and ugly against his hip, are three long slashes. They aren’t scars, they aren’t healed in the slightest, they’re still red and open wounds. They don’t hurt, not in the physical sense, but Lance can’t help the repulsion he feels whenever he looks at them.

Wangxianficrecs post here. (Archived.)What an unexpected little gem! In which wwx takes A-Yuan, after all the other Wens are killed, and hides away to raise his son as a farmer. (Wwx is the farmer. He teaches his son to cultivate, and *someone* starts leaving a package every year, with things like art supplies, and a cultivator's sword when A-Yuan is of age.)
About halfway through, when Sizhui is 15, Nie Huaisang shows up and asks for wwx's help, but Sizhui is having none of that, because his father owes the world nothing! So Sizhui takes on the task of finding nhs's brother's body, and wwx parts ways to go deal with Xue Yang. (Unsurprisingly, he encounters lwj on the way, thanks again to nhs's machinations.)
A lot of story packed into 8k. :)
