On a cold winter’s night, Regulus seeks out his brother in the hopes of reconciliation. In his naivety, he falls victim to a cleverly orchestrated trick by Severus Snape, who is seeking revenge on Sirius for a nasty prank he pulled.
Now, Regulus is trapped in the Shrieking Shack with a fully transformed werewolf and no chance of escape.
Fear is an old friend of his and yet he hardly has a chance to truly feel it, not while the overgrown wolf is too busy making a nest to keep Regulus warm and licking away his tears.

Before James could respond, the dark haired boy stood up, dusting off his pants lightly.
“Always gold brimmed around me, Potter. Sometimes red. Sometimes … black.” His voice didn’t rise; it stayed even, clinical almost, as if he was reciting one of the emotion charts that Healers used. “Must you hate me this much, Potter?”
Grey met a storm of different hues of red brimmed with a glowing gold. Fitting for a Gryffindor.
James’ jaw tightened. “And what do yours mean then, Baby Black? Because they’re always the same. Cold and empty.”
The others' eyes then flickered. His composure cracking. Dark blue bled through the cracks of his silvery grey. Much like a stormy night sky, before it vanished just as fast as it came.
“That’s the point, Potter.”

And that's how he falls in love with drumming. Maybe, one day, he'll fall in love with something (or someone) else.

This fic is quite possibly my favourite piece of writing ever, I have worked so hard on it (and still am). This is an alternate universe without Voldemort or Death Eaters, so it's basically just a bunch of gay teenage wizards figuring themselves out. This is a story of hope, connection, healing, and belonging.There is a lot of sad/heavy topics in this, it will be warned for appropriately, and there will be happy stuff too.

“Shut up, Regulus!” Walburga spat, glaring at her youngest son with a terrifying look. She was just so disappointed and, quite frankly, she was tired of even trying. “Don’t you ever try to defend your filthy brother! He has wronged this family from the day he was born, it is finally time he learns his lesson!”
“Well said.” Orion grabbed Sirius by the arm, his grip like iron. "You're going to show me exactly how sorry you are," he growled, pulling Sirius towards the door. "We'll deal with this in private."
