Dean adjusts to having a robot that's more adorable than a metal man has any business being...
Also, food will be featured heavily, whether or not it's actually important to the plot, or if it's because I always write when hungry, you decide. But I suggest making a sandwich before you sit down and read this. Trust me.

Summary
Dean has a group project at a normal kid's house and his heart breaks at how the other half lives. In typical Winchester fashion, he shoves down his feelings with a bunch of curses and tries to move on like it never happened. Very Dean focused. Sam makes a very minor cameo.
Excerpt:
He's twelve and his temporary new friend at school's mom offers to make him a sandwich like a tv mom that stepped out of Stepford. He's stunned into silence. He knows his mouth is hanging open in surprise like he's in the Twilight Zone and the bad thing has just happened that starts moving the plot forward. He can feel his eyes begin to water and tries to suck it up. Finally, after too long of a stare, and mirrored faces of concern, like two bookends, kid and mom, he finds his voice. Swallowing spit and finding a lump in his throat. “Uh, sure. I'll take a sandwich.”The kid goes right back to talking about whatever Dean and him were talking about prior while the mom goes right to making Dean a sandwich. “Do you want your crusts cut-off?” She asks.

“Actually, I don’t give a fuck who you are,” Derek says, curling his lip harshly. “This is private property. How the fuck did you even get in?”
In an act of quick placation, Stiles throws up two palms facing outwards in front of his chest. His eyebrows knit together as he hastily and vehemently begins to shake his head, trying desperately to telegraph just how severely Derek has grasped at the wrong end of the stick here.
“Hey, whoa,” he says. “That’s not –”
“You need to get the fuck out of here before I call the cops.” Derek pauses a moment, his nostrils flaring just a second before his eyes flash burning red, his entire face screwing up in this expression of pure disgust that sends a shiver down Stiles’ spine. “Christ, and you’re a human? A human omega? What kind of fucking moron breaks into a werewolves’ house when they’re just a weak fucking human?”
An alpha werewolf and a human omega: a love story that was never supposed to happen.

Pretty darn good. Around 200k despite length you wanna live in this world longer. Angsty middle bit. Will want to read straight through so make sure you got the time. Frequent Adult scenes. Some plot happens during them, so not very skippable.
