NOTE: This is NOT a fairy tale. It is about growing and finding your voice after being assaulted in your own home. Yuuri is at that edge of adulthood when it happens. Seventeen, approaching eighteen. Inspiration is slightly drawn from “Speak” by Laurie Halse Anderson, but it is its own story. And Yuuri will grow up. This is not canon compliant but he does find his way back to the ice. Any and all YOI characters can make an appearance in this story. There will be original characters. And we begin with MPREG. This is an ABO story. This is a story that deals with the intermix of recovering from assault while struggling with anxiety. And this will have joys and struggles of parenting, alone, with friends, and eventually putting together a family.

Update: As this hangs in my head, there is a strong big brother/father-son dynamic forming with Yura. in fact, I may do a little prequel to show that connection. I've also removed the canon compliant sorta tags. Because in this AU, you will see Yura becoming a permanent fixture in this little makeshift family. I haven't excited how I'm bringing him in. It's played out several ways.

Yuuri blinks at that. For a split second he wonders if an angrier asshole version of himself from an alternate universe, someone who spelled their name wrong and snubbed his nose at basic rules of grammar, had somehow found a way to pester him while he tried to prevent, by studying, at least one aspect of his life from crumbling into utter ruin. Then the split second passes and Yuuri reins in the insanity long enough to venture a rational approach.

Two weeks after his failure at Sochi, Yuuri receives a text from a mysterious number asking why the fuck he’s ignoring Viktor. So begins Yuri Plisetsky’s all out campaign to get Yuuri to finally text Viktor and end the torment of watching Viktor pine, and so begins Yuuri's descent into a wonderland of texting his idol, meeting his #1 fan(s), and slowly rebuilding his life with a little help from his friends.

Summary
It's December, and 19 year old university student Victor Nikiforov is about to learn some lessons about life, as well as few new things about dancing.
On holiday at the family value's Catskills Ski Resort with his father, fresh out of a divorce, and his brother, always looking for a new love interest, Victor shows little interest in skiing. He instead discovers his own entertainment when he by chance ends up at a staff party, where the sensual dancing is in full swing. Mesmerized by the flow of the movements, so unlike the ballet he's been dancing for years, Victor can't follow his father's orders not to dance - especially when he's invited to do so by the resort's head dance instructor, Yuuri Katsuki.
Victor's dancing is about to change forever, as he's thrown into the deep end when he becomes Yuuri's partner for a high stakes dance competition, from which the prize money supports the dance crew after the winter season is over.

A knock sounds — three sharp raps on the door. When Victor pries the door open, a huge black wolf sits at the door, dusted in fresh snow. The wolf begins to speak and the how and why of his request blurs together under the need mounting under Victor’s skin. All that lingers is the desperation, the isolation, the pleas that could have fallen from Victor’s very own lips. The years of spilling out his emotions in front of an audience, giving them to others for the sake of his art while feeling himself grow hollow, have caught up with him. He did what he could to escape.
But this. This is something different. This is more than just an escape. This is an adventure.
