Tori, completely fairly, raised a disbelieving eyebrow. “Not because I think I'm unlovable or something like that.” Although that was part of it. “But because—” Could he say the actual words? “—I think I'm asexual, and aromantic, so I don't think I'll ever love love anyone, and I think that means I'll always be a bit alone.”
He could.
It still seemed sad and pathetic when he said it out loud, maybe even more so, but the act of it—the unretractable reality of it—settled something in him.
Tori's expression, a little confused but free of judgement, only added to that feeling.

“They’re adults,” she assures him, coming over to let him lean on her.
“I know, I really do,” Peter insists, because he really does know all of this. But he’s also called Claire a few too many times to tell her Matt is currently bleeding out and “Claire his lips are turning blue, I don't, is it his lungs, I can't-” and had to watch Wade grow back full-on limbs to fully believe it. Even those like Captain America or Barnes can only take so many hits. People like Clint and Matt aren’t even that well off in the grand scheme of things. Sure, Matt can pretend pain rolls off of him and Clint can dodge but at the end of the day if they get shot in a vital place it could be the end for them.
“Maybe I should quit,” he thinks out loud, forehead pressed into May’s chest, and is shaken when she laughs.
“Could you?”

She can't ever make up for what she's done, but she has to try. She needs to try. Because they say it doesn't matter, and that it doesn't mean anything, but she can still feel Ray's skin bruising under her touch, she can still feel the bite of the cold metal knife in her hands, she can still see the tears running down Zari's face as she struggled with seeing her brother one last time.
And she knows she talked to them as a group, and she knows they all said it wasn't her, and that she has nothing to apologise for, but she has to do something. She can't ever make this right, but she can't just let it go.
Or: Everyone has forgiven Sara for the things she did under Mallus' control - everyone except herself.
