Her sword is summoned to her hand. The moment it comes into existence, Jinu’s eyes get big. Not out of fear but pure interest and anticipation.
His mouth parts. If he means to say anything, it doesn’t come out. His warm brown eyes remain fixated on the sword. Her sword.
“Jinu?” She says. Jinu makes a wordless, halfhearted noise of acknowledgment. “Jinu, please use your words. Is this okay?”
“Yes.” No hesitation. She’s not even sure he breathes.
Rumi notices that Jinu gets a bit distracted when she draws her sword around him. One thing leads to another and now they’re introducing it in the bedroom.
