Ch37 A CLIFFHANGER????? REALLY??????? YOU'D DO ME THIS DIRTY????????????? gods, I need more.
Also - theory; Al WAS the original Ripper, he started killing ppl, obviously he killed the bankers, BUT, and here is where it gets tricky, i don't think he's the ONLY one killing and there are a few reasons for this;
1. Magic has scents, but Charlie has checked Al's magic, and his shadow, we know this from that one chapter where the old boy was tasked to keep an eye on her at home. When they then go to the sight of a killing, Charlie senses the scent of magic, but there is no recognition with old boy's scent, or Al's magic.
2. Why would Al want to find the ripper if he's the ripper? Don't get me wrong, "just for funsies" is a valid answer to that question, and he clearly has ulterior motives, but there might be some genuine interest in catching this killer as well.
3. Why would he kill that orphan girl? So I'm pretty confident he killed the matron of the orphanage, that seems to make sense to me. But the little girl? Hmm, maybe.
Hypothesis 1: old boy acts independently and "loses control", or SMTH. Does bad shit when Al is soundly asleep - is this related to the thing he has to get rid off that Charlie interrupted that one night? Hmm.
Tangent to this hypothesis; what if it is Al, but he simply can't remember it? A split personality case? He's aware of some murders he has committed, but not others.Hypothesis 2; it's Liam.
Ch 38 ARE THEY ABOUT THE MEET THE KILLER???
If Al's shadow turns up I'm going back to theory 1. Al's shadow is the killer. If it's something else I'll have to rethink.Ch 39 OHOHOHOH I CANT WAIT FOR MORE WTF. ANTHONY JOINED. I still think Old Boy is the killer. Why was he gone? Gods, this fic has me hooked

Summary
Multiple people have assumed Alastor and Charlie to be in a relationship more than once since he arrived at the hotel.
What if one of those times Charlie denies the allegations just a tad too hard for Alastor's pride?
“Nononono, absolutely not.” His attention laser focuses on Charlie as she laughs, shyly tucking her hair behind her ear, “Alastor and I? Dating? That’s crazy! Ummm, I mean, we’re just business partners and like you said, he’s the Radio Demon, it would never work between us. He doesn't feel that way about anyone, let alone me.”
After all, he's always enjoyed proving people wrong.

Christ that was a good read!!!! I picked up this tag by chance! Thought to myself, "what an odd pairing, what could possibly be the appeal of these two together... Guess I'll just click on this one..."
Joke's on me, eh?
My favourite pass time recently has been picking up fics of pairings I would never consider on my own - and this fic is a BRILLIANT example of why I find this endeavour worthwhile. The fic is incredibly funny, a beautiful and ever entertaining exploration of both Greg and Mycroft as characters, puzzles these two personalities together like complex mosaic, and frankly I adored every chapter. Wonderfully written and I could not have asked for a better introduction to this ship, goddamn, I feel so fucking lucky hahahahahhaa
HIGHYL recommend to all that enjoy a good grown-up kind of coming-to-terms-with-feelings type of story! It's a superb exploration of both characters and oh my god, I can't emphasise enough; this fic ALONE makes me ship Greg and Mycroft FFS. I think that says enough on its own.
Give it a shot. I can guarantee it is worth your time regardless if you like this ship already or new to it!!!!!!!!!
