A repressed sob, and for the first time since he woke up, Viktor felt a familiar pain.
The pain in his heart, of love. One he knew would never be reciprocated in the way he wanted it to be. Or so he thought.
Jayce lifted his head to meet his touch, leaning into the metal sinew of his palm. His pleading expression, piercing the numbness Viktor felt, as he softened his voice…
“Come with me.”
“All I want, is my partner back.”
Jayce leaves with Viktor to the depths of the undercity, a child is born as they grow their Commune together, and entire universes are defied to be with loved ones.
