Summary
Neal sighed exasperatedly. “You lost the bet! You said I could pick anything! It's for your commendation ceremony!”
“I didn't think you'd pick this! I thought maybe you'd pick a–a crazy tie or a hat or something!” Peter answered. Neal had dragged him to a high end custom suit shop, which surprised him a bit.
He had expected Neal to get some ridiculous thing for him to wear to the office or something, to playfully humiliate him. A fluffy onesie. A pair of bunny slippers. A tee shirt with Neal's face on it.
Neal raised a brow, and then grinned like he'd caught a canary. “Are you saying you'd wear a hat for me?”

Summary
Out on the patio after dinner, while Peter fed Satchmo, Elizabeth had faced him and explicitly asked if he wanted Peter. She said she had to ask because Peter never would. The legal and social power Peter held over Neal would always hold her husband back, El told him.
His jaw dropped, clicked closed again. He weighed the risk of confirming versus denying, and wondered what El's angle was. That suspicion was entirely unwarranted, he knew.
In the end, he found he couldn't lie to Elizabeth any more than he could lie to Peter. With his eyes to the floor, he answered her.
