Ra dropped his hand to Jake’s shoulder, trailing it down and tracing the line of Jake’s torso before settling his hand on Jake’s hip with a heavy weight. Then he lifted their joined hands and pressed the back of Jake’s knuckles to the underside of his beak in a mock kiss. He tried to jerk back, but Ra was holding on to him with an uncomfortably tight grip. “You are lovely,” Ra murmured. “Khonshu does not deserve you.”
“What?” Jake repeated.

Or, Jake gets to be the damsel in distress this time, Layla gets to decimate ANOTHER cult, and Marc and Steven get to go through the Duat again except this time they can actually keep holding hands.
