Olivia sprawls over Lemar to reach John.
Her hand brushes his cheek, and she presses a kiss against his lips. Then she’s turning, still draped over Lemar’s lap, laughing as she kisses him too. John just sits there, a little stunned, his heart doing something weird and lopsided in his chest. He swallows hard. Olivia slides off Lemar’s lap, back beside him on the floor again, and leans back on her elbows with a self-satisfied little grin against her lips and an expectant look in her eyes. His mind is no longer functional enough to work out what exactly she wants from him.
She nudges Lemar with her elbow. “Help him out, would you?”
In which John, Lemar, and Olivia sort out their relationship on Prom Night.
