Summary
Maybe it's not Lando's finest moment that he manages to find Oscar's post race radio, caught out by Pierre's late spin and unable to start a lap. It left him stranded in P3, unable to improve into what should've been a comfortable P2, and maybe P1 has he pulled some miracle tenths from his arse.

Summary
He can tell Oscar’s not alright, more from the fact that his usually flush face is a stark white than his scent. He must’ve replaced the scent blockers before now. It doesn’t stop the wisps of burnt mint that Lando is pretty sure only he’s attuned to at this point.
What a miserable race. Don’t get him wrong, it had been fun. Keyword, had.
And now they’re both miserable… if anything, it’s hit Oscar harder than him.

Summary
Lando Norris gets a new race engineer for 2024.
It's one Oscar Piastri
—
“Lando Norris, it’s lovely to meet you.” He puts on a fake accent and puffs out a bit, as though he hadn’t made a fool of himself.
“Oscar Piastri.” The man offers another smile.
Lando had slightly misheard it a little, and of course he had to ask. “Pastry? What are you? French?”

Summary
Now he thinks about it, the cooldown room, or at least the start of it somehow reflected his inner feelings out. Oscar was a little lonely - watching the doom of his race and wondering if he should’ve stuck out the mediums. He means, the answer was clear - a resounding yes, and he’s drowning in the piles of ifs.
That’s how Oscar lets himself process it. Be disappointed, angry, upset - pull himself together for media - and come back next week and win it. Funnel it into something useful.

Summary
They are all different types of feral.
Lando is a beast, yes, masked and chained and wired.
People watch him. He knows that they’re always there, just behind a two-way mirror. He can hear the flickers of their heartbeats, and feel the faint heat from them. All eyes are on him, the vague prickle that always accompanies that.
But recently, there’s been one pair of eyes that burn brighter than the others, sharper feelings, a knife in his nape.

Summary
Lando saw one message—“which gives off more engagement ring energy: diamond, gold, or platinum?”—from his best mate, his ride-or-die, his official roommate and teammate Oscar… and instantly spiralled into a full-blown identity crisis, an emotional implosion, and possibly a parallel dimension where nothing made sense anymore.

Summary
Oscar’s usually swoopy hair was standing in several different directions. His eyes — full of joy and something warm, when he locked eyes with Lando, something that the older couldn’t, shouldn’t acknowledge — glowed in a devastating way, every time the lights hit him just right, while he was jumping up and down with the beat, his sweat — and maybe even beer — soaked shirt riding up with every hop, showing of a silver of his pale, toned stomach.
Shortly, Lando certainly didn’t have a crush on his teammate, but yeah, he was totally fucked.

Summary
Oscar’s teeth were white, the kind of white that looked unnatural, though Lando could say with certainty that teeth whitening procedures had never crossed the Australian’s pretty mind. The white spoke of compulsions or obsessions - anxious brushing, longer than 120 seconds, more than twice a day. In places, his gums were receding, from a lack of neglect. Overbrushing, quite the catch-22. Lando had been told, by nobody important, all those years ago, that people who felt insecure in their lives tend to dream of losing their teeth. Oscar had confided in him that he often dreamed of having no teeth at all. Why wouldn’t those anxieties spill out into real life?
***
Lando is infatuated with his teammate, and he can't cope. His denial leads to an unusual manifestation of love.

Summary
Oscar knew the facts. He was 72% inorganic tissue. That wasn’t the record, but it was close. The actual record-breaker had done it on purpose, seeking a perfect form. Oscar didn’t know how to feel about how similar their compositions were when he had never wanted this.

Oscar doesn't know if anyone can love someone as broken as he is. Lando helps.
