Oliver hums. How grim. “Do you hate me, Alana?”
Alana pauses. “Wow, you really don't fuck around, huh. Just straight to the point.”
Oliver doesn't look away from her. “Yes.
Alana laughs again, but it's bitter. "Okay, kid. Okay. No, I don't hate you.”
"Really? Your open hostility towards me sends an entirely different message," Oliver says.
"I don't hate you. I just hate what your being here means.”
Oliver frowns, confused. She doesn't say anything else on it, but her gaze shifts past him.Oliver turns to follow it, and it lands on Finnick.
He's inside the apartment, watching them intently through glass doors. He doesn’t flinch away when he gets caught. Instead some sort of pained look crosses his face just for a moment, then he walks out of sight.
Oliver's toes and fingers grow numb again, his heart flutters anxiously like a caged bird in his chest.

Towards the end of the 21st Century, the Earth became uninhabitable. This in turn wiped out half of the world's population. To effort to save the survivors, the Earth formed a treaty with the Intergalactical Alliance that helped them secure a complete shift to a habitable planet outside their solar system.
It's been eleven centuries since then, and the entire universe faces the danger of total annihilation when multiple planets across the galaxy start being wiped out by various cataclysmic events before their designated time. After numerous failed attempts to stop these events, their origin point is traced back to Earth, and so, INTGA enlists the help of humankind to put a stop to this.
And while this is the case, humankind refuses to give up the most valued of its people to such a hapless endeavour, so some of their worst criminals are dragged into this suicide mission as a test. It's a risky gamble, and everyone expects them to fail.
No one, however, expects them to succeed either.
