After World War I, over 70 German ships interned at the British naval base Scapa Flow mysteriously disappeared…
More than two decades later in 1940, the world is engulfed in a new war against the Mundus Empire, an invading force from another dimension. Having conquered the Southern Hemisphere and steadily expanding its territory, the Mundus Empire has finally set its sights on the Northern Hemisphere.
The United States Pacific Fleet is annihilated off the coast of Hawaii, and the Imperial Japanese Navy’s vaunted Combined Fleet suffers a crushing defeat at the hands of the Mundus Empire’s fleet that has invaded the Truk Islands.
Cornered, the Combined Fleet is relieved by the arrival of a secret fleet of battleships and warships that were supposed to have been sunk as targets under the Washington Naval Treaty, including the battleship Tosa and the German ships that scuttled themselves at Scapa Flow.
Resurrected and transformed by the Magitek Research Department, these ships and weapons are Japan’s new hope against the otherworldly invaders.

It's a major plot point but, there was also many threats on the island. It leaves many dead. Sir topham hatt, after finding out that some of his engines are dead he retired and leaves more issues in his place.

The people of Falreign held their respective gods in high regards. Though, whether that was in a positive light, or one out of fear, would depend on the nation one would find themselves in. Overall, it was undisputed that mortals should never disrespect the gods, no matter how small.

No. In fact, this story, which might start out on a small scale at this present moment, leads to changes that not even the seven gods themselves could have predicted. Changes that would outright alter the land's inhabitants for years to come. But who, one could ask, would be capable of such a feat?

“Fuck you,” she snarls—but her voice frays at the edge, cracked and hoarse and trembling with heat.
He laughs again. Quiet. Almost fond. “You haven’t earned that right yet.”

Porque... Amicus pode até não saber, mas eu sou o bruxo mais forte que ele poderia ter encontrado.
Mesmo que, por algum motivo, minha magia não funcione nele. E não. Não fico nem um pouco feliz em assumir isto.
Pra alguém como eu que viu o sol ser engolido por uma serpente, esqueletos dançarem em brasa, demônios se banhando em piscina de almas, e a lua sussurrar segredos... algo assim... chega a ser um insulto.
