“The fffff-uck did you do to me, plastic?” Gavin’s voice rang out, strong and furious as ever.
Hank and Connor’s heads turned at the sight of Gavin brushing himself off. His stubble was neatly tamed, complimenting the shining grey of the android uniform draped around his shoulders. The scar on his nose was gone.
“Holy shit.” Hank mouthed, looking him over. “Reed’s an android.”

Kamski goes missing, Hank, Connor, and Gavin are sent to investigate. None of them expected they’d soon go missing themselves.
When they wake up, everything they know has changed. Connor’s human, the humans are androids, and worse? The android revolution never happened. Pretty soon, they all get a taste of what it’s like to walk in someone else’s shoes.

Summary
I rewrote the whole game as a reverse AU. A lot of it doesn't diverge too far from canon, all things considered, but some things are very different and you get a good look at the emotions and thoughts of the main characters.
Roles switched:
Conner Anderson as the Sergeant (He's too young to be a Lieutenant)
Hank as RK800

Jeffrey Fowler as the RK800's AIThis fic is a prelude to a bunch of other fics I want to write. In most cases it won't be a necessary read, but I wanted to have it out there for me to refer back to for my other fics. If I missed any tags, let me know in the comments. They kept deleting themselves as I tried to input them.

The new drug, “red ice”, is starting to affect CyberLife as a company.
Both customer and stored androids are being destroyed and drained of thirium, and gallons of blue blood have been going missing from CyberLife, putting the company in a tough spot when trying to pay for both the missing technology and the hush money for customers and employees who won't keep their mouths shut.What's worse?
Androids have started to go rogue. Deviating from their code, running away, and having violent outbursts that make it difficult to crack down on the errors and keep their customers' trust.They leave these problems to a specialized prototype android who's been in development since the new drug was known, and an R&D director who also works for Central Detroit Police Department.
…They really shouldn't have.

In this one Gavin is one of the last passion projects Kamski worked at before leaving Cyberlife. He was designed after the real Gavin, Kamski's late twin brother, but was ultimately gifted to Cyberlife as a homage because he couldn't stand to be in his presence due to his unresolved grief.
After the revolution, Gavin is activated and upon realizing that the memories he inherited from the real Gavin aren't his own, he undergoes a deep identity crisis. Connor is still partnered with HK800 - Hank - from before the revolution, but is then paired up with Gavin due to his calm and diplomatic nature, and his ability to integrate with androids. Gavin ends up having a series of breakdowns and when Connor tries to assist him he pushes him away, but eventually opens up to him about his memories and so does Connor. Connor helps him create new memories of his own, and guides him through his emotions, all the while growing fond of him. And of course, Gavin slowly falls in love too.

But there came a strange sense of yearning following Lt. Anderson's death. Following the unceremonious mourning of the lieutenant whose station-organized funeral only involved the small lit tea candles on every desk that made the police station reek of french vanilla bean like a Bath & Body Works and the pathetically ceremonious funeral which only involved the police department — now outfitted in an appropriate-enough attire of black with specks of white shirt collars and a dog who couldn’t seem to stop whining, one who refused to leave the side of a casket even if the cover had been closed. The funeral director must’ve decidedly kept it closed even if Lt. Anderson was alive and well. Even past the halfhearted mumbles of his colleagues — or superiors — paying their respects and wishing Lt. Anderson the best, would Connor feel even a speck of shame in expecting to see at least one family member of Lt. Anderson to be present at his last day on earth? The low hanging of his head the entire procession told him so, facing the ground like a guilty dog who had even the most remorse for the dead.
Hank is dead and yadda yadda! Or is he! He is! Mostly!

Summary
When deviancy cases rise Cyberlife is willing to do whatever it takes to stop it. And in this case whatever it takes is a tall android that takes on the appearance of an old man. The newest prototype the RK800 is sent to the DPD after a successful first mission. However, will he be able to keep up with his anxious workaholic partner?
Essentially this is just a retelling of Detroit Become Human but with Connor as the DPD Lieutenant and Hank as the android sent by Cyberlife. The characters are VERY OOC because of the new places they take.
I wrote this for fun and figured it would be fun to post it. Title is a reference to Language of the Lost
The events follow the games VERY closely and some dialogue is similar if not the same to the games. I only take creative ownership of the unique stuff I added

A nightmare lived and a nightmare forgotten. Perhaps they were the fools for letting their guards down, for forgetting that danger still lurked around the corner to threaten their delicately crafted peace in a world turned upside-down by the Android Revolution of 2038.
But when Connor didn't turn up for his shift, and Hank had later been found near permanent shutdown, Niles and Logan knew that their nightmare from the past was becoming reality once more. Only this time, they were in a much better position to help.

A family's android had gone deviant, murdering the father in his sleep before sneaking to the son’s room, making a ruckus of taking the boy and fleeing to the roof. There wasn’t much more information given to him yet—he'd have to analyze the crime scene to figure out the intricacies—but it didn’t seem to be anything he couldn’t handle. Eventually, the cab slowed to a stop, to which the android finally opened its eyes, LED swirling into a bright blue. The door slid open, the android turning his head curtly before stepping out of the vehicle.”
Hank - or RK800, the android sent by Cyberlife, weaves his way through the streets of Detroit with Connor Stern, top detective/lieutenant in his department.

Connor liked to think he was good at his job. He got things done. He worked all the extra hours. He was always trying to be pleasant to be around. Though most of the time, he knew he wasn’t.
Sure, he smoked too much and made a lot of bad decisions in his personal life. But he was a good cop!
Detective work was virtually the only thing he was consistently good at. Or so he had thought, but here was Amanda doing the one thing he’d begged her not to.
As a result, standing in front of Connor was his new partner. An android partner at that.
