It was just one reset of many, and Flowey was bored. Nothing new, of course... and that was exactly the problem.
Perhaps against his better judgement, he'd decided to hang out with Sans.
Of course, he had to do introductions and all that, but once he got that out of the way, he just kinda... sat around and stared at Sans, waiting for him to do something.
He didn't. He just laid there on his couch, being lazy.
Flowey was not amused.
"You're a comedian, do something funny." He jabbed.
"hey, you can't force comedy. it's gotta come naturally."
"Well, what's coming naturally to you right now, oh master of comedy?"
"sleep."
Flowey groaned. "I should've messed with Papyrus instead."
Sans gave a single "heh", before popping open an eye and looking at the flower rooted in their floor.
"so, what's your deal, anyways?"
"What do you mean? I already TOLD you what my deal is, idiot." Flowey annoyedly remarked.
"nah, i mean like, what are your motivations? any hopes? dreams?" Sans winked. "got a girl?"

We know the story. Two races at war. The humans won and the monsters lost.
However, we don't really know what happened. Who started the war? Why and how? Did something else happen?
Everyone who really knew, long since left us. Dead or forgotten. However, there are whispers. Prophecies and strange events. Destroyed timelines. Someone, something, an anomaly.
Savior and destroyer, connected. both emptied the underground. And maybe, just maybe, it's not over yet. There is someone left to save, after all.
Now that the myth becomes fact, perhaps more will be discovered. Some myths haven't been revealed yet, but maybe...
Someone guided Frisk. They know it, they could feel it. Sans blamed Chara, but Frisk knows better.

Summary
After achieving the False Pacifist ending, Frisk left the Underground to return to their little sister Celest, who was left with their abusive parents. They simply wished to check on her, before LOADing their previous save and trying again...
However, they found that their magical abilities were impossible to use if not in the vicinity of Monsters. Tragically, their parents kept them from returning, leaving Asgore dead, the six human souls lost, and Toriel queen.
15 years later, Frisk passes away, an event long-coming since a tragic incident in their childhood. Their final request was for Celest to take their soul and journey underground, saving those they abandoned all those years ago. But she finds herself not in the wonderland Frisk described, but in a place best described as purgatory…a place that now knows only of magical drought and despair…
What went so wrong in the years since Frisk’s fall…? Does Celest have any means of escape from this hell…? Without Frisk’s DETERMINATION to keep them alive, will Chara survive long enough to guide Celest all the way through…? Can Celest and Chara truly trust their newfound companions...?
