"Buck didn't have a daughter. Sure, he loved kids and maybe one day he would build his own little family, but not right now. He just couldn't bear this type of responsibility - the kind that demanded more than he was able to give, more than he thought he could handle.
Then one phone call suddenly changed everything.
A number he didn't recognize. A professional voice talking to him, her words not making sense. "Her birth certificate states that you're her father.""
Or
Buck learns he has a seventeen year old daughter that just lost her mom and is now supposed to live with him.

Summary
After finishing at the Fire Academy, Buck’s stopped on his way out by Captain Bobby Nash from the 118 — the most talked-about station in LA. Nash offers him a spot as their new probie, impressed by his background as a dispatcher and his record-breaking run through training.
But Buck turns him down. He knows what went down under the last captain, Gerard, and he’s not about to walk into a place still recovering from that kind of mess. He tells Nash the team needs time, trust, and probably therapy before anyone new shows up. When Nash flinches at the word “therapy,” Buck figures he made the right call.

AU - When Tommy Kinard returns to the 118 during the events of 05x11, he knows that he is grounded for insubordination and a lapse in professionalism; he chose to transfer to the 118 during his grounding because while he's stuck on the ground, he might as well come back home. Except, when he returns to the place that had once been home, he meets a charming, over-enthused golden retriever who unlocks something within him, and he in turn awakens Evan Buckley's bisexuality while Evan is dating Taylor Kelly. What happens when the two have a little too much beer after a victorious rescue? And how would Evan react to realizing that he is attracted to men just as much as he is attracted to women?

There was just this restless feeling under his skin, one that he’s had ever since Skylar turned two a few months back. She’s growing so quick, it felt like only yesterday he was laying in a hospital bed with her draped across his chest.

Summary
Eddie never felt nervous around Buck before. Sure, at their first meeting things didn’t go as smoothly as they usually go when he meets a -may he now say handsome- man for the first time. But after that, their friendship never made him nervous… Not like this, at least.
It was way too hot at the station, and it took everything in Eddie's power not to watch as Buck took off his already sweaty shirt and replaced it with a new, clean one.
This shift was going to be a long one.
He is going to give himself heatstroke if he doesn't take his eyes off of Buck right this second.
----
As Buck comes closer to them, Eddie also turns around and can’t stop his eyes from running down Buck’s chest. Dear God, he looks breathtaking, just look at that soft curly happy tra- Eddie quickly moves his eyes back up when he realizes what is happening.
Or
Buck, Eddie, and Chris go to a waterpark, and Eddie realizes his feelings for Buck. Miscommunications and slight angst ensue, but a happy ending ofc:)

Summary
They arrive at the scene in record time and everyone springs into action. Chimney is beside Buck the minute he jumps out of the engine, keeping his attention away from the crash.
“Maybe you should sit this one out, Buck.” He says, in a tone that’s more big brother than Captain.
Buck frowns.
“What? H-have I done something wrong?” Buck questions.
“No! Of course not, it’s just…”
“Cap! We need jaws, we can’t get into the car to help him.” Eddie’s voice cracks through the radio. Buck whips his head around to face the scene, ready to take off running to help.
That’s when he sees it.
The license plate that makes his stomach churn.
The pride flag fire engine that used to make his heart flip.
The once shiny silver metal is now scratched and bent and contorted into a shape unimaginable.
It’s Tommy’s car.

Summary
“I can’t decide if this is more for you or for me,” Buck said, rereading the printed off email.
Eddie shrugged. “It was pretty therapeutic.”
It was their first Christmas as a couple, and Eddie decided that he needed to go all out. The gift needed to be one of a kind. Special. Something that he’d never given Buck before.
It's Buck and Eddie's first Christmas together as a couple, and Eddie has no idea what to get his boyfriend.
Apparently, all it takes is an unfortunate encounter and a teenage son to find the right gift.

Summary
After everything — the calls, the chaos, the long nights and close calls — Buck and Eddie finally get the one thing they’ve never had: peace.
Newly engaged and living in the house they chose together, they’re building a life defined not by emergencies, but by morning muffins, garden plans, FaceTime with family, and the quiet love that grows in the in-between. For Eddie, it’s a slow unraveling of old expectations — exploring softness, femininity, and what it means to be fully seen.
This is a story of healing, queerness, domesticity, found family, and the tender joy of a life you don’t have to brace yourself against.
No firestorms. No cliffhangers. Just a steady heartbeat of home.

Summary
He’s not sure how long they stand like that. Seconds and minutes bleed into each other, Eddie’s thoughts slow and syrupy for the first time in hours. It gives his mind a chance to let the memory pop up again, the sound of his Abuela’s voice, the warmth of her palm against his chest as she said:
‘You were looking in the wrong place.’
And he knows— has known, where the right place is. It feels silly now to pretend like he doesn’t when the knowledge of it sits there underneath his sternum, warm and insistent and obvious with Buck’s arms around him.

Summary
Evan Buckley is not a little. That’s what everyone thinks and it’s what he tells himself almost every morning when he looks in the mirror. It is the furthest thing from the truth.
Or author is bored and bad at summaries and needs Buck to get the love he deserves.

Summary
He heard Buck soft footsteps approach him, “Hey Chris, what do you want to do today?” Buck smiles at him, though his smile looks a little tight.
“I want to see the sea!” Chris has been longing to go to the pier, unfortunately his dad has been very busy as of late. So maybe Buck can go with him?.
Buck's smile turns wider as he ruffles Chris' hair, “okay, we can do that. But have you eaten breakfast yet?”
Chris shook his head, Dad overslept this morning and is in a rush trying to find someone to take care of Chris all the while packing both his and Chris’s bag. So unfortunately, they both missed breakfast.
Buck stands up, “well we can't have that” he moves toward the kitchen. “Do you have any requests?”
“Ice cream!” Chris immediately said.
“We can't have ice cream for breakfast Chris.” Chris pouted, which just made Buck laugh.” Tell you what, how about we eat some real breakfast now. And then when we go to the pier we can get ice cream?”
Chris perked up and nodded, “Yes! Thank you Buck”

Summary
“First, you pack up at the house and don’t tell me, and now you just sneak in here and hope no one sees you?” Eddie asked, hurt. Buck felt himself tense up at the pain he caused his best friend.
“It’s tragic, isn’t it? I can’t even face the people who matter to me,” Buck told him. He turned to look at Eddie.
Eddie was leaning against the door frame, and Ravi started to walk out. “No, you stay,” Eddie said sternly as he looked at Ravi.
Ravi looked between them and didn’t know what to do. He leaned back against the locker. Buck let out a frustrated sigh. “What, now?” Buck asked angrily.
“You think that no one wants to say goodbye? You just left the group chat like it was nothing. You gave your transfer request to the interim Captain after Gerrard left, like it was nothing. No one knows how to talk to you, Buck. You just cut everyone off.” Eddie said. But Buck didn’t cut everyone off, no, he just started talking less, he just hoped no one noticed, but of course Eddie did. Eddie always noticed when Buck self-isolated.
Or, what happens when Buck moves out, leaves the 118, and ghosts Eddie Diaz?

Summary
“Hey!” Chim yells from the other side of the truck. “You two better not be making out back there!”
Buck freezes. Eddie doesn’t even flinch—he just sighs and presses one more kiss to the corner of Buck’s mouth like he’s claiming interest.
Then he steps back, tugging Buck’s jacket straight with stupid fondness in his eyes.
“Let them talk,” Eddie says. “I’m kissing my boyfriend.”
