Summary
Woken up in an unknown place with amnesia, Agent 3 and Agent 4 know a Telephone that promises to take them to the 'promised land' if they do certain tests and bring something to it. Without choices, both Inklings, with the help of the king of the Octarians, DJ Octavio, and his granddaughters, Callie and Marie, depart on a journey to get what they need and escape where they are. In the midst of this search, they eventually discovered the obscure secrets that place hides, as well as fragments of the past they share.

Tartar has gone through a lot. He was over 12,000 years old, after all. But even those many lonely years could not compare to the hurtful memories of people he had lost - mainly also because of the good ones he had shared with them. Getting a new body after the battle, those memories were once more relived. Luckily, a certain sea cucumber was there to have an open ear for him.

We all seen this before, right?
Agent 3 and Cuttlefish find an Octoling, and it derails into the Octo Expansion DLC of Splatoon 2... except that this universe is different at its core.In this universe, long before humanity wiped itself out, there were people who used everything in their power to protect the Earth from any dangers.
People who, fueled by their natural Chaos energy, used their powers to make good around the world.
And while their impact may have protected this world, they were all still mortal, and they succumbed to the natural ending of things. Time...All except for one... (and maybe a few others, but who knows?)
Someone who has witnessed the end of humanity, someone who chooses to remember the good that he and his... friends did for the world. Someone that still keeps his promise and will keep it until the day he can't anymore.

Well of course it wouldn't be hiding in the rafters, but instead in the deepest and darkest bowels of the metro. A mission imperative is triggered, and Kamabo Corp whirls to life one last time. One more secret, One more face, and the body it's gonna use to walk and talk with everyone.
After all, the memcake technology had to come from SOMEWHERE right? Why in the world would Kamabo Corp be researching such a thing in the first place?

With only his wits and an inkling he doesn't know he can trust, he faces off against various trials meant to test his mettle and prove he is worthy of what the deepsea denizens call the "Promised Land".
But secrets lurk underneath Inkopolis Bay... secrets blanketed in blood and gore. And if Eight wants to make it out of there alive, he will be forced to confront the ideals he has held close to his heart for so many years.
