From ancient times, humans and demons coexisted in one world. Demons hunted and devoured humans; conversely, humans also killed demons to survive. Predator and prey were two essential roles in nature, and this had gone on for thousands of years.
Until one day, weary of endless, bloody wars, demons and humans made a pact, dividing the world into two halves. Demons were not to eat humans, and humans were not to kill demons. The worlds of the two races were thus sealed off from each other, separated by a tightly closed gate guarded by the Ratri family – the lineage that had forged the ancient promise with the demon leader.
But not long after, another promise was formed, by a human seeking to escape the hatred that was gnawing at them.

我个人非常不喜欢失忆后艾玛完全不是曾经艾玛的设定，我不能接受艾玛失去了曾经的一切，同时我认为原著最后的几个记忆闪回的画面就证明了艾玛不仅没有全部忘记，甚至在慢慢的想起更多的事情。作为深度雷艾厨我根本没办法接受忘了和雷的生死之交的那几年，也不能接受雷独自带着那些年的记忆，去用曾经的艾玛去靠近现在的艾玛。
