Things are happy and light at first, but then a-yuan (the little fish) reveals that he's supposed to go to the Dragon's Gate waterfall in order to complete his transformation. Enter dragon hunters, a frightening (literally) curse, some unabashedly raunchy sex (for once it's lwj who is the shameless one) and a trap gone wrong that results in a transformation and a five-year angsty separation, before wangxian reconvene for a final showdown.
