Christopher gets excited when he meets Dad’s new friend; Tommy.
Carla picked him up from school, and just dropped him off on their foyer, already rushing to her next appointment. She kissed his head and said, “Say hi to your Dad for me. Have to go.”
So, he says hi to his Dad as he keeps his eyes wary on the new person sitting at their breakfast table, waiting for him to introduce them.

Based off the new 9-1-1 promo video for the upcoming episode "Ashes, Ashes" where it shows Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) waking up to Bobby & Athena's home on fire. Immediately upon seeing it I thought it was definitely some dream/nightmare he was going through after revisiting his past with Amir and wanted to write out something for it. So, here it is.

After meeting Amir, Bobby's world feels like it's been flipped upside down. Forced to relieve the actions of his past self. A devestating nightmare rocks him one night, forcing him into a panic. Thankfully, Buck is there to draw him back to reality.

Summary
Buck is quite distracting. Since he has this medal around his neck, he looks like a Labrador puppy who has been given his first treat. That's a praise kink, for sure, and Tommy just knows he's gotta store this information deep in his mind. Most of all, the man just looks so happy. So content. Tommy never knew that seeing someone else so happy could be so important to him. He looks at Buck – his boyfriend, for goodness sake, how did that actually happen? – and his throat constricts, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he has stuffed far too big a piece of cake into his mouth.

“That’s a good thing, right?” Maddie gives Buck a puzzled look as she starts pulling ingredients for sandwiches out of the fridge and laying them out on the kitchen island.
“I mean, it should be. I think,” Buck says, as he grabs a Ziploc bag of vegan chicken slices and peels some off for his sandwich. “But I’ve never been in a relationship before where there wasn’t at least a little bit of friction. Everything’s just been going so… perfect. I’m not sure I trust it.”
Maddie shuts the fridge door with her heel and sets a loaf of whole grain bread on the island between them. “Maybe it’s a little unusual,” she allows, “but could you try not borrowing trouble and see where that gets you instead?”
Buck and Tommy never fight.

Tommy used the time it took him to cross the distance between them to scan Buck head to toe for any signs of injury. His hair was wild as if he’d been clawing his fingers through it and he couldn’t tell if the redness around his nose was from an irritant or the fact that he’d probably been scrubbed within an inch of his life by the hospital staff. There was no mistaking the red rings around his eyes though.
Tommy’s stomach clenched. He always hated when Buck cried.

Helena sobs.
“Buck, we know you feel responsible for Christopher… but you don’t have to be. We are here, and we know what Christopher needs best, what he wants.” Ramon tries to argue.
“You haven’t been responsible for Chris in years Mr Diaz. Eddie has been. I have been. I know you see me as just a friend of Eddies, like- like an Uncle to Chris, but that isn’t true.”
