Summary
Jason takes Damian to a quiet area to ask him a favour and tell him a BIG secret that is between Jason and Bruce. A secret that will, probably, tear the family apart. Again.
"Look, you can't tell anyone what I'm about to say. This conversation stays here, got it Damian. You're going to keep this a secret, no blabbing to Goldie or Replacement or Babs or Stephie or Cass or Alf or anyone else. " Damian frowns, both at how many people this lie is going to deceive and the fact that Bruce wasn't one of the people Jason listed. The fact that he had listed Alfred- Damian could tell he loved the old man dearly and didn't want to hurt him- put him on alert.
"Bruce thinks something's aboutta go down in the crime world. Somethin' big. He doesn't, can't, have eyes on it. It's got 'im unsettled, not knowin' what is and all. Well, that's where I come in. You all know I was once a Crime Lord, still am actually. He wants me to go back to bein' that. Get into the crime underworld, find out what is it and, if possible stop it."

Summary
Duke braced himself, bringing his fists up in front of him and preparing to dodge or lose an eye.
The guy swung. The hit never landed.
A gunshot cracked the night wide open, and the guy who’d been about to slice up Duke’s face screamed, clutching at his hand. The sound was pure agony.
Blood sprayed, hot and wet, across Duke’s cheek and hoodie. Too close. Too real. His breath hitched hard, stomach lurching. Some hit his lip. The metallic tang of blood slid into his mouth before he could stop it. He gagged.
Then something fell out of the dark above. Leather flared. Boots struck pavement with a thud that carried finality. A helmet gleamed red under the flickering streetlight.

Past selina and Bruce for the majority, there is some direct interaction where they are like bitter ex fighting over the kids. Selina/harley/pam is the main ship (still background) for most of it. But I want to have it end in a complicated poly-polgamy with selina getting her cake and eating it too. if the shipping is a big focus for you. The story focuses more on the kids than the adults. Danny centric.

Summary
My extrapolated story from I'm building off flamingpuddings post on Tumblr. What if Selina Kyle was Danny bio mom. That she had with Batman. And she put him up for adoption to her distance relatives the fentons. I've also taken the liberty to set the phantom time line up a few years earlier. Danny had his accident in Jr high. At 11 in 6th grade. He meets Selina at not yet 14 teen. A ton of DC characters will make appearances eventually. But it's going to focus heavily on Gotham based characters first. And slowly sprinkle in more phantom characters and other dc characters from all media forms messed together.
also to note a lot of characters will be introduced. a lot of relationships will be mentioned. most of the relationships are not monogamous or uncomplicated. if you are looking for a single ship, not the best fic. villains are not just villains and heroes are not just heroes. it's messy in here with tones of grey. Danny is the main focus of the story. with an ever growing meet and great format, with plot there in the background and slow going.

This series will delve into my favorite dc characters- -Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas and Barbara Gordon- -and it's purely to help me relate to these characters more. They will go in depth with many things that are cannon, all major things in these one-shots will be, and only minor detail things that aren't.
Everything is (hopefully) in character at well.

Each work is a continuation of the next, and while you don't need to read them in order to understand them, or read all of them to understand the one you do read, I heavily recommend it just for the details that will make more sense.

The entirety of Gotham City waited in anticipation for the Annual Wayne Manor Tour, the two weeks of the year in which the doors of the Manor open to the public for educational and historical tours of the Manor and Grounds. Spots on the coveted Tour were impossibly rare, but the city is curious and eager to get an insight into the lives of Gotham's reclusive Royal Family.
Duke Thomas forgot about the tour. Granted, it was easy to forget about a tour of your own house.

Summary
Duke Thomas. 16 years old. Parents currently in group facility for jokerization victims and deemed unfit to care for Duke. Aggressive with perceived authority figures. History of fights at schools and home. Prone to elopement.
Duke's read his file before--has heard Tammy complain about his problematic behaviors nearly every meeting. As he burned his way through every foster home in the city, Duke knew he'd run out of people willing to let him stay. When Tammy presented the ultimatum, Bruce Wayne or Juvie, it wasn't even a choice.
Now, 8 months in and having already passed his 2 month record of longest stay at a foster home, Duke finds himself wondering if maybe he could plant roots with the Waynes. They seem to accept him so easily, already calling him their brother and wanting to include him in family events. He may not be theirs, but maybe that would be okay.
Of course, Duke should have known better. When the Wayne children start asking Bruce when he's going to pull the trigger to adopt Duke already, he realizes that they only wanted him if he was going to be theirs. Feeling trapped and unwelcome, Duke decides fuck it.
