– Catching feelings for a stubborn (and strangely attractive???) Naboo senator who insists there's still "good in him" - whatever that meansBut when fragments of a life he doesn't remember start to resurface, and his new "allies" won't stop dragging his ass toward the light, Darth Vader starts to wonder who he really is beneath the mask.
Because, sometimes, the real power is the friends you definitely didn’t plan on making.

He didn’t do anything. Rex stood there and watched as one man destroyed an entire army.
He’d never seen anything like it in his life. (And he was surrounded by Jedi.)
Skywalker slaughtered them. Mercilessly. He moved like the lightning that was flashing all around them.
The soldiers didn’t even look in the Clones direction, they were all facing the storm that moved through them like the cotton candy Ahsoka had sneaked them once.
The sky was dark except for the lightning flashes that struck the earth, destroying groups of men at a time, fire was spreading across the ground, and Skywalker moved through it all with a deadly grace that looked well earned. His lightsaber slashing through any resistance.

Summary
Anakin Falls on the battlefield, on a small dusty planet in the Mid Rim that’s largely unimportant in the grand scale of the war. His men are dying in scores around him, screaming, spilling their guts onto the pockmarked ground, and something that has been pulling tighter and tighter over the course of the war, over the course of his whole life—between one decapitated droid and the next, something snaps in his chest. He doesn't know it, but he's more than a year early.
Or: Anakin navigates the path from straight up not noticing, to denial, to buying a pair of ugly sunglasses to hide his unfortunate Darksider eye condition, to a number of Sith lords dying in uniquely creative ways. If he reaches acceptance, it just might save the galaxy.
