Summary
“Whatever quarrel you’ve got with me, mate,” Philza spits, hands coming up and lifting his cloak. He tosses the fabric away, and Techno has no time to process the jagged and broken forms beneath it -- the torn feathers that barely make it to his waist when they’d once fallen down his back -- before the man is shrugging himself into a fighting form. His arms are revealed now as his haori falls, and there are gouges splitting his skin, huge charcoal burns and long tattooed stripes of red. “Get it out now. But do not hurt the kid for your betrayal.”
Techno’s whole body jerks as he reels at the accusation. The irony floods him and he laughs, harsh and dry and nothing mirthful.
“Philza,” he says, simple as ever. “Teaching me about betrayal.”
(Did I write another fic inspired by Bunflower's fic -- i wanna hear it's alright -- specifically the prompt Misunderstandings? Yes. I did.)
