‘Tell me more,’ Peter’s tone darkened, and a daring smirk grew on his face.
Harley was probably making a mistake. A horrible, dangerous mistake that he’d regret very soon.It was so worth it.
OR: Harley falls in love with Midtown's resident playboy with more than a tainted reputation, who just happens to also be the criminal hunted by the Avengers. Meanwhile, Peter has plenty of mistakes to make up for, but a certain team of heroes seems to interpret things extremely wrong. His choices haunt him like a ghost, ones that eventually catch up to him and change the course of his life.

“Do you?” Casey frowns. Since that would go some ways to explaining her level of intensity over her current assignment.
“Nope. So if you have an explanation for why this pisses me off so much I’m all ears. Because I’ve seen timelines never happen that would have escalated into far weirder, ridiculously fun alternate histories. This one is like… four out of ten? But I see that black goo, I see those idiots who will fuck up and allow it to escape the lab and it’s just…”
“Too much wasted potential?” he guesses.
“Yeah,” she offers unhappily. “One of those.”
“So it’s a Venom thing,” he surmises. Even as, on the screen the irrelevant minor extra do exactly what people like them always do. Going out of their way to become workplace casualties.
“It is that, yes.”
“You know exactly what’s going to happen once that thing escapes, don’t you?” he wonders out loud. Very aware that, yes, of course she did. Hence the first real drop in her mood since the multiverse reassembled itself into something new and, just possibly, not as depressing.
