Kazuha cocks his head to the side. “Is that what you would like? You seem to not have any intentions of capturing me,” a beat, “detective.”
The words roll off Kazuha’s tongue prettily but Heizou notices an edge to them this time. No, it’s not fear, not displeasure, not even ridicule. What he gleans from those words and curled up lips is something he can only attribute to teasing.
In which two young men, each with a broken and bruised heart, learn to love again. Or, two idiots keep meeting and never get it right until they finally do.

Angus Macgyver moves into one of the apartments above The Dalton and Murdoc Bakery after his breakup with Nikki ends horribly. After she threatened to expose that he is only pretending to be a beta, forging documents and taking illegal drugs, so people wouldn’t find out he is an omega and treat him differently, well, then Mac flees across the country. And somehow, he ended here.
However, Mac’s new neighbors are the bakery owners, Jack Dalton and Dennis Murdoc, who seems to want to befriend Mac. So does the rest of the building apparently, much to Mac’s fear. He just wants to be in peace, heal his broken heart and pretend to not be an omega, while he works on not being afraid Nikki will find him. He doesn’t want to fall in love.

After getting out of an awful marriage Dean entered into when he was much too young he feels free for the first time in his life, except she won't just let him be. In her mind, Dean belongs with her and even though the marriage is over, she just won't let go.
He moves to another state to escape her once and for all, and it's not long after he left that she died suddenly. He thinks that's the end of his personal hell and tries to move on with his life.
He gets a dog, takes over his uncle's shop, moves into the house and gets himself into therapy. There's a lot of emotional damage that has left him terrified of dating, until one day he meets a handsome man in a pet store. It's an internal debate whether he wants to trust this man and let him in or push him away. He makes the decision that leads him down a new path in life, one that makes it better than anything he could have possibly imagined. As his life finally reaches a place where he's happier than he's ever been, things begin to go wrong. It's subtle at first, barely noticeable, but as a second wedding begins to move closer things escalate to a point where they cannot deny something awful is happening. They need help, and they need it immediately.

He always listened to the tales with a healthy level of scorn, he believed in Her because you had to cling to something in the darkest storms but the Stormdancer always felt more mythical than reality. Something practically out of a fairy tale was reaching its hand out to bring him aboard for the adventure of a lifetime, he would be a fool to not take that offer.
Taking that outstretched opportunity, they take off running while yelling grew louder from the square, realising the deception. Pondering why he was chosen, he let the singing man bring him to the docks to confront a ship straight out of a myth.
